Fantaspoa
Fantaspoa is an international film festival held annually in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Established in 2005, it focuses on genre cinema, including fantasy, science fiction and horror, and showcases both feature-length and short films, with a focus on Portuguese and Spanish language productions. History Fantaspoa was founded in 2005, and has the following official sections: Short Film Competition (subdivided into live-action/animation and national/international); Ibero-American Feature Film Competition and International Competition. The festival also have special sidebars that change from edition to edition, such as animated feature films, documentaries, zombie films, panorama, among others. Méliès International Festivals Federation
Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF), formerly European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation (EFFFF), established in 1987, is a network of 22 genre film festivals from 16 countries based Brussels, Belgium, and dedicated to promoting and supporting European cinema, particularly films in the fantasy, horror and science fiction genres. Ruggero Deodato
Ruggero Deodato (; 7 May 1939 – 29 December 2022) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and actor. His career spanned a wide-range of genres including Sword-and-sandal, peplum, Comedy film, comedy, Drama (film and television), drama, Poliziotteschi, poliziottesco, and Science fiction film, science fiction, yet he is perhaps best known for directing violent and gory horror films with strong elements of realism. David Schmoeller (born December 8, 1947) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter. He is notable for directing several full-length theatrical horror films including ''Tourist Trap (film), Tourist Trap'' (1979), ''The Seduction (film), The Seduction'' (1982), ''Crawlspace (1986 film), Crawlspace'' (1986), ''Catacombs (1988 film), Catacombs'' (1988), ''Puppet Master (film), Puppet Master'' (1989), and ''Netherworld (film), Netherworld'' (1992). Stanley Lloyd Kaufman Jr. (born December 30, 1945) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. Alongside producer Michael Herz, he is the co-founder of Troma Entertainment film studio, and the director of many of their feature films, such as '' The Toxic Avenger'' (1984) and '' Tromeo and Juliet'' (1996). Many of the strategies employed by him at Troma have been credited with making the film industry significantly more accessible and decentralized.
