Fancy Chemutai (born March 20, 1995) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in the half marathon. She finished third in her debut at the Prague Half Marathon and won the Göteborgsvarvet in Gothenburg in 1:07:58. On October 22, 2017 in Valencia, she finished second behind Joyciline Jepkosgei, another Kenyan long distance runner. In 2018, she won the RAK Half Marathon, with the second-fastest ever time of 1:04:52, missing the world record held by Joyciline Jepkosgei by one second. Long-distance running, or endurance running, is a form of continuous running over distances of at least . The Prague Half Marathon is an annual half marathon road running event which takes place in Spring on the city streets of Prague, Czech Republic, first held in 1999. It is managed by the same organisation that holds the Prague Marathon in May. Göteborgsvarvet () is an annual half marathon running competition in Gothenburg, Sweden (often called the Gothenburg Half Marathon in English). It is the largest annual running competition in the world in terms of entries, with its 62,000 entries for the Göteborgsvarvet competition on 18 May 2013. In 2016, 64,500 people entered the race. The youngest runner was 17 years old and the oldest female runner 83 and male runner 87. Joyciline Jepkosgei (born 8 December 1993) is a Kenyan female long-distance runner who competes over distances from 10,000 metres to the marathon. She is the former half marathon world record holder in contests with mixed-gender fields with her personal best of 64:51 minutes, and additionally the former world record holder in the 10 km with 29:43 minutes. She was a bronze medallist over 10,000 m at the African Championships in Athletics in 2016.
