Family Values (album)
''Family Values'' is the only studio album by South African rapper, actor, writer, composer and record producer Riky Rick. It was released and made available for purchase on iTunes by Makhado Makhado Agency on 3 April 2015. It features guest appearances from Cassper Nyovest, Okmalumkoolkat, Zano and Black Motion. ''Family Values'' was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). Background and recording Riky Rick speaking on the album's title:During interviews, Riky Rick mentioned that he had produced 80 percent of the album. He mentioned that there were only four guest appearances on his album. In March 2015, Riky previewed snippets of the songs "A Time to Love", "Makaveli" and "Sondela". He stated that "Sondela" would be the next official single from the album. Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado (20 July 1987 23 February 2022), known professionally as Riky Rick, was a South African rapper, singer and producer. He was also the founder and owner of record label Cotton Club Records and a member of Boyz N Bucks and he's well known of his hit songs like boss zonke and Nafukwa He came into the limelight between 2009 and 2010, when he dropped mixtapes such as ''The Comeback Kid'' and ''Last Summer'' with Da L.E.S. Black Motion is a South African house duo from Soshanguve, Gauteng, founded in 2010. The group is composed of Bongani Robert Mahosana (former), Roy Thabo Mabogwane and Kabelo Koma. History Black Motion was formed in 2010, by DJ Murda (born Robert Mahosana), and Thabo (born Roy Thabo Mabogwane) they are from Soshanguve. Refiloe Maele Phoolo (born 16 December 1990), professionally known as Cassper Nyovest, is a South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, record producer and amateur boxer. Born and raised in Mahikeng, North West, he is regarded as one of the most successful artists in South Africa. In 2014, he established his own record label, Family Tree Records. Smiso Zwane (born Smiso Brian Mkhasibe; 27 July 1983), commonly known by his stage name Okmalumkoolkat (sometimes stylized as OkMalumKoolKat) is a South African rapper and half of the rap/ electronic duo Dirty Paraffin from Umlazi Township in Durban. Smiso Zwane is known for singles such as "Mswenkofontein" featuring $tilo Magolide & uSanele. Life and career Okmalumkoolkat was born in Umlazi, Durban. After graduating from college, Okmalumkoolkat moved to Johannesburg where he met Doctor SpiZee, with whom he formed Dirty Paraffin.
