''Family'' is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed, written, and edited by Don Palathara, with co-writing credits to Sherin Chatherine. The film premiered at the 52nd International Film Festival Rotterdam on 28 January 2023. It was also screened at the14th Bengaluru International Film Festival 2023. Produced by Anto Chittilappilly through his production company, Newton Cinema, the film features Vinay Forrt, Divya Prabha, Abhija Sivakala, Nilja K Baby and Mathew Thomas in pivotal roles. Don Palathara
Don Palathara (born 22 August 1986) is an Indian filmmaker from Kerala. Known for working on small budgets, his films are expositions of local Kerala culture and studies on human nature. Palathara's films have gained accolades at several international film festivals, including those of Moscow International Film Festival, Moscow, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Rotterdam and International Film Festival of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. Early life Don Palathara was born in Karunapuram, Idukki district, Kerala. He subsequently migrated to Sydney, Australia, where he received a diploma from the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television in Sydney, which was formerly known as the International Film School Sydney, before its merger with Actors College of Theatre and Television. Aarsha Chandini Baiju (born 8 November 2000) is an Indian actress working in the Malayalam film industry. She made her acting debut with the film ''Pathinettam Padi'' (2019), she has since starred in the Karikku Fliq mini-series ''Average Ambili'' (2021) and '' Mukundan Unni Associates'' (2022) as the female lead. The International Film Festival of Kerala (abbreviated as IFFK) is a film festival held annually in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. Cork International Film Festival (CIFF), also known the Cork Film Festival (), is a film festival held annually in Cork City, Ireland. It was established in 1956 as part of An Tóstal, and is Ireland's oldest and largest film festival. It is typically held in November.
