Al-Falaq
Al-Falaq or The Daybreak (, ''al-falaq'') is the 113th and penultimate chapter (''sūrah'') of the Qur'an. Alongside the 114th surah ( Al-Nas), it helps form the Al-Mu'awwidhatayn. Al-Falaq is a brief five ayat (verse) surah, asking God for protection from evil: : ۝ Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak,Sahih International translation :۝ From the evil of His creation :۝ And from the evil of darkness when it settles :۝ And from the evil of the blowers in knots :۝ And from the evil of an envier when he envies." Context This surah and the 114th (and last) surah in the Qur'an, an-Nās, are collectively referred to as '' al-Mu'awwidhatayn'', "the Refuges", as both begin with "I seek refuge"; an-Nās tells to seek Allah for refuge from the evil from within, while al-Falaq tells to seek Allah for refuge from the evil from outside, so reading both of them would protect a person from his own mischief and the mischief of others. Regarding the timing and contextual backgro ...

Falaq-1
The Falaq-1 is an Iranian-made rocket system. Design The 240 mm unguided surface-to-surface rocket is very similar to the rocket used with the Russian 240 mm (12-round) BM-24 system. The Falaq-1 has a bore of 240 mm, and a weight of 111 kg, with the warhead weighing 50 kg. The 240 mm spin-stabilised rockets have a maximum range of 10,000 m and are fitted with a nose-mounted fuze. Propellant used is of the solid double-base type. The rocket is mounted on a 4 × 4 jeep light cross-country vehicle which has six 240 mm rockets in the ready-to-launch position in a frame-type launcher on the rear. Its successor, the Falaq-2, is a 333 mm-diameter rocket. Development The system was developed in the 1990s by Shahid Bagheri Industrial Group, which is part of the Aerospace Industries Organization. Deployment There is extensive evidence Falaq-1 rockets have been used in the Syrian civil war. On 26 January 2024, Hezbollah claimed for the first t ...

Falaq-2
The Falaq-2 missile is the second generation of Falaq unguided artillery rocket systems. This system was also developed in the 1990s by the Shahid Bagheri Industries, which is part of the Aerospace Industries Organization. It is considered possible that the 333 mm unguided surface-to-surface artillery rocket used in the Falaq-2 artillery rocket system is related to the longer-range Shahin-1 and Shahin-2 systems. The same chassis is used as the launch platform for the Iranian Falaq-2, which has a single tube-type launcher mounted on the rear. This launches a single 333 mm unguided surface-to-surface rocket to a maximum range of 10,800 m. The Falaq-2 is a 333 mm-diameter rocket. It weighs 255 kg and with 120 kg warhead that holds 60 kg of explosives. There is extensive evidence Falaq-2 rockets have been used in the Syrian civil war. Falaq (radar)
The Falaq (Persian:فلق) is an Iranian air surveillance radar system. It is a domestically upgraded and refurbished version of the Russian-made 67N6E Gamma-DE air surveillance radar. It is a 3D phased-array radar system. The system is capable of identifying all types of cruise missiles, stealth planes, unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic missiles within a range of 400 kilometers. The system was unveiled in Tehran on 10 August 2019, in an announcement made by the commander of Iran's Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard. Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard stated in the announcement that the system was developed in order to counter US economic sanctions restricting Iranian access to spare parts of a previously foreign-developed system. This prompted Iranian engineers to "reconstruct" the system in a process that took 2,300 man-hours. The unveiling of the radar system came at a time of escalating tensions between Iran and United States and Europe's ...
