Fala (album)
Fala is a compilation album, published by Poland's record label Polton in 1985. Fala is regarded as the first official presentation of Polish punk rock, new wave music as well as reggae,Robert Brylewski, Kryzys w Babilonie. Autobiografia, rozmawia Rafał Księżyk. Wydawnictwo Literackie Kraków, 2012. , page 248 - 249 and most of the songs in the album were recorded at the 1984 Jarocin Festival. The album was the idea of Sławomir Gołaszewski, who asked Robert Brylewski for help with the selection of songs. Tomasz Adamski
Siekiera (Polish for ''"Axe"'') was a Polish post-punk band. With fast, aggressive music and lyrics filled with obscenities, the band was a sensation at the 1984 Jarocin Festival. After lineup changes, the band switched to new wave and then dissolved in 1988. Career Siekiera formed in 1982 or 1983 in Puławy, Poland, under the name of "Trafo". The original line-up consisted of guitarist Tomasz Adamski, vocalist Tomasz Budzyński, bass player Jerzy Janaczek, and drummer Irek "Borys" Czerniak. They started by playing cover songs of UK Subs and The Exploited. In the autumn of 1983 they changed their name to Siekiera (Polish for "Axe"). The original line-up was Tomasz Adamski (a.k.a. Kryzys
Kryzys is a Polish rock music band, regarded as a pioneer of Polish punk rock and reggae. The origins of Kryzys go back to 1978, when the Warsaw punk rock ensemble ''The Boors'' was started by Robert Brylewski (g., voc.), Piotr Mrowiński (g.), Marek Iwańczuk (bg., later replaced by Ireneusz Wereński) and Kamil Stoor (dr.), who was replaced in January 1980 by Maciej "Magura" Góralski - poet, drummer. Dezerter
Dezerter, founded as SS-20 in May 1981 in Warsaw, is one of the most popular punk bands from Poland. The band was founded by three students of Warsaw's vocational high school ( technikum) - Robert "Robal" Matera (guitar), Krzysztof Grabowski (drums), and Dariusz "Stepa" Stepnowski (bass). All three were born in 1963, and went to the same class. From the beginning Grabowski wrote lyrics, and Matera music. The three classmates originally planned to name their band Sektor A, but after some time changed their minds and named it SS-20. Soon afterwards, they were joined by another student of the same school, Dariusz "Skandal" Hajn (voc., born 1965), who, as Grabowski later stated, "looked like a real punkrocker". Tomasz “Frantz” Lipinski is a Polish rock guitarist, lyricist, composer and singer. Born on 21 August 1955 in Warsaw, Lipinski is the founder of Tilt, one of the first punk rock bands in Poland, and co-founder of Brygada Kryzys, regarded as an influential rock band in Poland. Furthermore, he was a member of the bands Fotoness and Izrael. He is the son of the satirist and caricaturist Eryk Lipinski, but was raised by his mother, for the first time meeting his father at the age of eight. In 1975, Lipinski graduated from high school, and continued his education at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1979, Lipinski founded Tilt, one of the first punk rock bands in Poland. Tilt (Polish Punk Band)
Tilt is a Polish rock band who have been playing together on and off since 1979. They are regarded as one of the first punk bands in the nation, but as the founder mentioned in an interview, they were a post punk band from the beginning. Tilt was founded in Warsaw in 1979 by Tomasz Lipinski and it has continued to exist to the present day, with several breaks in between. In its first years, Tilt performed songs in English, later switching to Polish. Currently, they perform and record as Tomek Lipinski & Tilt, with Lipinski on guitar and vocals, Wojciech Konikiewicz on keyboards, Karol Ludew on drums, Piotr Leniewicz on bass, and Alek Korecki on saxophone.
