''Fake Tunes'' is the fourth studio album by American experimental rock band, Bear Hands. The album was released on May 10, 2019, through Spensive Sounds. Release and promotion Two weeks after the release of ''Fake Tunes'', Bear Hands opened for Twenty One Pilots during the second North American leg of The Bandito Tour. Bear Hands opened for Twenty One Pilots from May 12 to June 30, 2019. From October 8 to November 29, 2019, Bear Hands will co-headline with X Ambassadors in promotion of the album. Singles The first single, "Back Seat Driver (Spirit Guide)", was released on April 5, 2018. The single was the highest charting and highest streaming single on the album, reaching number 21 on the Alternative Songs charts, specifically peaking at that place on June 9, 2018. Bear Hands
Bear Hands is an American post-punk and indie rock band, consisting of Dylan Rau (vocals and guitar), Val Loper (bass), Ted Feldman (guitar), and TJ Orscher (drums). Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, United States, and formed in 2006, the band signed with Cantora Records in 2010 upon the release of its single "What a Drag". After releasing their debut LP ''Burning Bush Supper Club'' in 2010, Bear Hands toured as the opening act for Passion Pit, GZA, and We Were Promised Jetpacks. Their single " Giants" became a top-ten hit on the Alternative Songs chart in mid-2014. History Dylan Rau met Ted Feldman while the two attended Wesleyan University, and were later joined by Loper and Orscher through their previous bands (Sidekick 7 and In Pieces), who were involved in the local Connecticut ska and hardcore punk scene. The Bandito Tour
The Bandito Tour (stylized as THE BANDITØ TØUR) is the sixth concert tour by the American musical duo Twenty One Pilots, in support of their fifth studio album '' Trench'' (2018). The tour began at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on October 16, 2018, and concluded early at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois on December 13, 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Background and promotion On July 11, 2018, Twenty One Pilots ended their hiatus by releasing two singles, " Jumpsuit" and " Nico and the Niners". The same day both their album, ''Trench'', and its accompanying tour, The Bandito Tour, were announced. Jangle Pop
Jangle pop is a subgenre of pop rock or college rock that emphasizes jangly guitars and 1960s-style pop melodies. The term originated from Bob Dylan's song " Mr. Tambourine Man", whose 1965 rendition by the Byrds became considered one of the genre's representative works. Since the 1960s, jangle pop has crossed numerous genres, including power pop, psychedelia, new wave, post-punk, and lo-fi. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". Twenty One Pilots (stylized in all lowercase or as twenty øne piløts) are an American musical duo from Columbus, Ohio. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s.
