Fake (TV Series)
''Fake'' is an eight-part Australian drama thriller series which debuted on Paramount+ in Australia on 4 July 2024. Synopsis ''Fake'' is a drama-thriller series. Inspired by the 2019 book with the same name by Stephanie Wood, the series follows a smart magazine writer who thinks she has found her ideal match when she meets a successful grazier on a dating app. The writer later discovers that he is not all that he has led her to believe. Production The eight-part 40 minute series was filmed in Melbourne in September 2023, created by screenwriter Anya Beyersdorf and directed by Emma Freeman, Jennifer Leacey and Taylor Ferguson. Three episodes were written by Hyun Lee and Jessica Tuckwell. The series is produced by Kindling Pictures, led by Imogen Banks and Emelyne Palmer. The series received a major production investment from Paramount ANZ and Screen Australia, in association with VicScreen. Anya Beyersdorf
Anya Beyersdorf is an Australian actress and screenwriter. Early life and education Anya Beyersdorf was born in Armidale, New South Wales. She attended Armidale High School in her high school years. However, she studied drama and communication at the University of Newcastle until she moved to Melbourne in 2003 to pursue acting. She trained in acting and directing in the theatres of Berlin in 2009 after winning the Marten Bequest Prize for Acting for 2008/2009, working under Bulgarian director Dimiter Gotscheff on the play ''The Powder Keg at Der Haus der Berliner Festspiele'', as well as traveling and studying performance in Poland, Denmark, and the USA. Freya Stafford (born 21 January 1977) is an Australian actress who has appeared in the television programs '' Head Start'' and ''White Collar Blue'' as central characters. Early life Stafford was born in Sydney, New South Wales. In 1982 her family moved to Tasmania. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed.
