Faig Gasimov
Faig Gachay oglu Gasımov () was an Azerbaijani lieutenant colonel serving in the Land Forces of Azerbaijani Armed Forces. He had taken part in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, the 2016 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, in which he was killed. He had received the title of the Hero of the Patriotic War for his service during the war. Life Gasimov was born on 10 February 1974, in the Gubadly District of the Azerbaijan SSR, which was then part of the Soviet Union. In 1981, he entered the Gayaly Village Secondary School. Now, it is named after Hasanglulu Gasimov, who was his brother and was killed in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. Gasimov graduated from this school in 1991. Hero Of The Patriotic War
The Hero of the Patriotic War () is the highest title in Azerbaijan. The title was created by the law "Regulations on the title of "Hero of the Patriotic War" of the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated 26 November 2020 and the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev dated 1 December 2020. It was established on the occasion of Azerbaijan being the victor in the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. Its recipient is also awarded with the Hero of the Patriotic War Medal. The title of Hero of the Patriotic War is conferred by the President of Azerbaijan on his own initiative, or on the proposal of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Border Service, the State Security Service, and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Azerbaijan. Ilham Heydar Oghlu Aliyev (born 24 December 1961) is an Azerbaijani politician who has been the fourth president of Azerbaijan since 2003. He is also the leader of the New Azerbaijan Party since 2005. Fizuli District
Fuzuli District () is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the south-west of the country and belongs to the Karabakh Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Khojavend, Aghjabadi, Beylagan, Jabrayil, and the Ardabil Province of Iran. Azerbaijan Higher Military Academy
The Azerbaijan Higher Military Academy (; named after Heydar Aliyev ) is an educational institution of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. In order to be admitted into the academy, candidates have to be between the ages of 17 and 19 and have completed secondary school education. Background The predecessor institution to the current academy was the Baku Higher Combined Arms Command School (BVOKU), which was founded on 29 November 1939 as one of many military academies of the Soviet Army. National Hero Of Azerbaijan
The National Hero of Azerbaijan () is the highest national title in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The title was named on 25 March 1992, and the "Qizil Ulduz" Medal awarded as a sign of receiving this title was established by a separate law on 15 July 1992. Aliyar Aliyev (; 14 December 1957 – 3 October 1992) was an Azerbaijani officer, a National Hero of Azerbaijan, and a participant in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. Life Early life and education Aliyar Aliyev was born on 14 December 1957 in the village Qazyan of Qubadli District. In 1979, he graduated with honors from the Azerbaijan State Physical Culture and Sports Academy and worked as a sports teacher at Dondarli village secondary school in Qubadli District.
