Fahim Gul ( ur, فہیم گل, born 12 August 1956) is a former Pakistani professional squash player. Fahim Gul was born in Rawalpindi. He is the brother of Rahim Gul and Jamshed Gul, two former world ranked players. Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi ( or ; Urdu, ) is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is the fourth largest city in Pakistan after Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad, and third largest in Punjab after Lahore and Faisalabad. Rawalpindi is next to Pakistan's capital Islamabad, and the two are jointly known as the " twin cities" because of the social and economic links between them. Rahim Gul (squash Player)
Rahim Gul (1924 – 28 April 1985) was a famous Urdu language Pakistani writer, literary critic, author, film director and film producer. With various books of fiction, criticism, biography and art to his credit, Rahim Gul was a major figure in contemporary Urdu literature. He is best known for his last and the most widely read novel "Jannat Ki Talash". Early life Rahim Gul was born in Shakardara, Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He received his early ediucation from Kohat and joined British Army in 1941, then remained engaged in Burma fronts during the Second World War. Soon after the end of war, he left the army and settled in Lahore, Pakistan and started writing for various magazines and papers. Career Rahim Gul is the author of books and has been honored with Adamjee Literary Award on his book " Dastan Chour Aey". He wrote, directed and produced various Urdu and Pashto films. World Team Squash Championships
The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket.
