Fagraea Cambagei
''Fagraea cambagei'', commonly known as porcelain fruit, pink jitta, or yellowheart, is a plant in the family Gentianaceae which is endemic to rainforested parts of coastal northeast Queensland, Australia. Description This is an evergreen tree growing up to in height, and the trunk of the tree is often marked with a plaited or woven pattern (see gallery). The leaves are simple (i.e., without lobes or divisions) with an opposite arrangement. They are held on thick petioles (stems) measuring between long, they are elliptic to obovate in outline, and they measure up to . The inflorescence is a terminal panicle with up to 30 fragrant bell-shaped flowers. They measure up to long with five cream-coloured petals, and may occur at any time of year. The fruit is, in botanical terms, a berry up to , white, pink or red and with a shiny appearance that gives rise to the common name "porcelain fruit". Flecker Botanic Gardens is a heritage-listed botanic garden at Collins Avenue, Edge Hill, Queensland, Edge Hill, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1886 to 1960s. A least-concern species is a species that has been evaluated and categorized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as not being a focus of wildlife conservation because the specific species is still plentiful in the wild. They do not qualify as threatened, near threatened, or (before 2001) conservation dependent. Richard Hind Cambage (7 November 1859 – 28 November 1928) was an Australian surveyor and botanist who made important contributions to the description of the genera ''Acacia'' and ''Eucalyptus''. Early life Cambage, son of John Fisher Cambage, was born at Applegarth near Milton, New South Wales. He was educated at state and private schools (including Ulladulla Public School), and for a short time was a teacher at the Milton State School. In 1878 he became an assistant to M. J. Callaghan, surveyor, and took part in the survey of National Park in 1879 and 1880.
