Fabian Weinhandl
Fabian Weinhandl (born January 3, 1987) is an Austrian professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently an unrestricted free agent who was most recently under contract to EC Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL). He previously played with EC KAC after joined the club on April 10, 2013, from the Vienna Capitals on a two-year contract. On May 27, 2015, Weinhandl returned to the EBEL after a stint on loan to Ritten/Renon in the Italian Serie A, signing a one-year deal to serve as the backup with EC Red Bull Salzburg. The ICE Hockey League (International Central European Hockey League), known as the win2day ICE Hockey League for sponsorship reasons, is a Central European hockey league that also serves as the top-tier ice hockey league in Austria, it currently features additional teams from Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. The league was known as the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL) from 2003 until 2020 and as the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League during the 2021-22 season. Italian Hockey League - Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925. They are conducted under the authority of the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (FISG). The league initially merged with the Inter-National League to become the Alps Hockey League in 2016.
