FK Palić () is a football club based in Palić, Serbia. History FK Palić was formed on June 10, 1954, by the initiative of former footballers Jožef Balaž, Deže Šefer, Vlada Đorđević, Janko Pejanović and Milorad Icić. During Yugoslav period its major achievements were the qualification to the Vojvodina League in 1977 and winning the Bačka League in the season 1983–84. Palić ( sr-Cyrl, Палић; hu, Palics; german: Palitsch) is a town located in the city of Subotica, North Bačka District, autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. It is also located from the border between Serbia and Hungary. The town has a Hungarian ethnic majority and its population numbering 7,771 inhabitants (as of 2011 census). Many tourists come to Palić every year because of the Palić lake and spa. There are over 450 guest houses, and even a five-star hotel. Josip Zemko (13 March 1946 — 11 April 2017) was a former Yugoslav football manager and player. He was one of the best Yugoslav defenders in the 1960s. In 1963, he started playing for the first team and very soon he became a candidate for the Yugoslav national team. He had collected three caps before he broke a leg in 1966.
