Futbolo klubas Garliava, commonly known as Garliava, is a Lithuanian Football (soccer), football club located in Garliava. They currently play in the 1 Lyga - second tier of Football in Lithuania, Lithuanian football. History The club was founded at the beginning of 2008. Club started for 25 children training. In the 2017 season they made their debut in the LFF Cup tournament. 2021 season In 2021 the club immediately licensed to the I Lyga, First League. They were replaced to the Second League. In the first stage of tournament was in group of the winners. In the second round competed for the top positions. They finished fourth in the final lineup. This place allowed the team to play in the promotional playoffs and compete for the place in 2022 in the II Lyga. The first match against Sūduva B was won 9–0. The second match ended 1–0. The Lithuanian Football Federation Cup ( lt, Lietuvos futbolo federacijos taurė), also known as Hegelmann LFF Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a Lithuanian football cup competition contested in a knockout tournament format. 2022 Lithuanian Football Cup
The 2022 Lithuanian Football Cup, for sponsorship reasons also called lt, Hegelmann LFF Taurė is a single elimination football tournament in Lithuania. The winner of the competition earns a spot in the first qualifying round of the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League. Having had participants numbers limited to the first three tiers for the last two years, this year's tournament was open to clubs from any division. As before, the "B" teams do not participate in the cup competition. The A lyga teams entered the tournament from the second round this year. 2021 Lithuanian Football Cup
The 2021 Lithuanian Football Cup was a single elimination association football tournament which began on 22 May 2021 and ended on 23 October 2021. The winner of the competition earned a spot in the second qualifying round of the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League. Teams from A lyga, LFF I lyga and LFF II lyga participated in the tournament this year. Same as last year, lower league teams were not invited in order to shorten the competition due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The "B" teams do not participate in the cup competition. The A lyga teams entered the tournament from the first round this year. FK Panevėžys were the defending champions after winning the final in the previous season against FK Sūduva on penalties. The 2017 Lithuanian Football Cup, also known as LFF Cup, was the seventy-second season of the Lithuanian annual football knock-out tournament. Forty-four teams entered the competitions, which started on 27 April and ended on 24 September in Aukštaitija Stadium, Panevėžys. Stumbras defeated defending champions Žalgiris 1–0 in the final and have qualified for the first qualifying round of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League. Lithuanian Football Federation's II lyga, LFF II lyga – the third tier Lithuanian football championship. As of 2021, the II lyga is a single league, consisting of planned 16 teams. The two top teams gain promotion to the I Lyga. Until the end of 2020 season the league consisted of the Southern Zone and the Western Zone. The Northern Zone and the Eastern Zone existed in some past seasons, but were done away with due to the dwindling number of participating clubs. I Lyga
The I Lyga, LFF I Lyga, Pirma Lyga, is the second tier of professional Lithuanian football championship. Format Organized by the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF), I Lyga is contested by 14-16 teams, with the top team gaining promotion to A Lyga and replaced by the lowest-placed team in top division and the bottom 4 clubs being relegated to the II Lyga. Starting with the 2016 season, the second-placed team qualifies to promotion play-offs with A Lyga's next-to-last team.
