FK Daleron-Uroteppa
Football Club Daleron-Uroteppa ( tg, Дастаи Футболи Далерон, ''Dastai Futboli Daleron'') is a former professional Association football, football club based in Istaravshan, Tajikistan. History The club was founded before the 2011 season and was formed of the players who left FK Istaravshan. In their first season, "Daleron" was declared in the Sughd Region of the First League, where they finished sixth. In 2012 they once again played in the Sughd Region of the First Division, winning the league. In 2013, "Daleron" finished second in the First League Zonal tournament. At the same time FK Istaravshan ceased to exist due to financial problems, and "Daleron" were awarded their place in the Tajik League. During the off season In the off-season 2013/14 a possible merger between "Daleron" and "FK Istaravshan" was discussed, but eventually did not happen. Istravshan
Istaravshan ( tg, Истаравшан; fa, استروشن; russian: Истаравшан) is a city in Sughd Province in Tajikistan. In 2000, the Tajik government changed the name of the city from earlier Uroteppa ( tg, Ӯротеппа; ''Ura-Tyube'', russian: Ура-Тюбе). The city lies in the northern foothills of the Turkestan Range, Turkistan mountain range, 78 kilometers southwest of Khujand, on the main road connecting Tajikistan's two largest cities, Khujand and Dushanbe. Bordered by Uzbekistan in the north and west, and Kyrgyzstan in the east, the territorial area of Istaravshan stretches 1,830 square kilometers, and with an administrative population of 273,500 people, the majority of its citizens (76%) live in the outlying countryside. FC Istaravshan ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال استروشن) is a Tajik professional football club based in Istaravshan, that competes in the Tajikistan Higher League. The club was folded in 2013, but has since reformed. History In 2004, under the name "Uroteppa", finishing as Runners-up to Aviator Bobojon Ghafurov in the Tajik Cup whilst also finishing 6th in the Tajik League. In 2012, the club's stadium underwent a $3 million renovation upgrading its capacity to 20,000 seats. Sughd Region
Sughd Province ( tg, Вилояти Суғд, Viloyati Sughd, Sogdia Region , fa, ولایت سغد) is one of the four administrative divisions and one of the three provinces ( tg, вилоятҳо, viloyatho , fa, ولایت) that make up Tajikistan. Centered in the historical Sogdiana, it is located in the northwest of the country, with an area of some 25,400 square kilometers and a population of 2,707,300 (2020 estimate), up from 2,233,550 according to the 2010 census and 1,871,979 in 2000.
