FIVB World League 1995
The 1995 FIVB Volleyball World League was the sixth edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament, played by 12 countries from 19 May to 9 July 1995. The Final Round was held in Rio de Janeiro (Main) and Belo Horizonte (Sub), Brazil. FIVB Volleyball World League
The FIVB Volleyball World League was an annual international men's volleyball competition. Created in 1990, it was the longest and richest of all the international events organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The women's version of the competition was called FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. This event should not be confused with the other international volleyball competitions, the World Championship, the World Cup and the World Grand Champions Cup. From 2018, the World League and World Grand Prix was replaced by the men's and women's Nations League and men's and women's Challenger Cup. Dmitry Fomin or Dmitri Fomine (; born 21 January 1968) is a Russian former volleyball player. He was part of the Soviet Union men's national volleyball team that won the bronze medal at the 1990 FIVB World Championship in Brazil. He was part of the Unified Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and the Russian team at the 1996 Summer Olympics The 1996 Summer Olympics (officially the Games of the XXVI Olympiad, also known as Atlanta 1996 and commonly referred to as the Centennial Olympic Games) were an international multi-sport event held from July 19 to August 4, 1996, in Atlanta, ... in Atlanta. Lyubomir Ganev
Lyubomir Eftimov Ganev (; born 6 October 1965 in Ruse), a.k.a. Lyubo Ganev or Lubo, is a Bulgarian former volleyball player and the President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation since 2020. He was born in Rousse, where he started his career. He played with CSKA for seven years and was five times a champion with the team. From 1991 to 1997, Ganev played for Italian teams, before finishing his career at Greek side Aris in 1998. He participated in Bulgaria's national team from 1985 until 1998. He is 210 cm tall. Rafael Pascual Cortés (born 16 March 1970), more commonly known as Rafael Pascual, is a Spanish former volleyball player who is nicknamed "El Toro", "El Macho", and "El León". Pasquale Gravina
Pasquale Gravina (born 1 May 1970) is a manager and a former Italian professional volleyball player. Athlete Gravina is 201 cm and played as middle attacker. After some experiences for minor leagues, he made his debut in the Italian Volleyball League first division in 1988, for Falconara. His qualities, especially in block actions, made him a choice for a top team: Maxicono Parma in 1990. In this club he won the ''scudetto'' in 1992 and 1993. Later he played from 1996 until 2001 for Sisley Volley where he won the national title three times more. Then he played for Lube Volley in which he won the Champions League in 2002 and the Italian Cup in 2003. Ginásio Do Maracanãzinho
Ginásio Gilberto Cardoso or Ginásio do Maracanãzinho, commonly known as the Maracanãzinho ("Little Maracanã" or "Mini Maracanã"), is an indoor arena located in Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro, Maracanã in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. Mineirinho Arena (officially Estádio Jornalista Felipe Drummond), sometimes called just Mineirinho, is the biggest indoor sporting arena in Brazil. Located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, the arena holds 25,000 people. Mineirinho is located in the Sports Complex of Mineirão Stadium in the Pampulha, which was one of the headquarters of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The nickname (''small Mineiro'') is due to being located close to the larger Mineirão (''big Mineiro''), the stadium.
