FF Projects
FF Projects is an art gallery in San Pedro Garza García, Mexico and Los Angeles, California. Founded by Mexican art dealer Eduardo Lopez, the gallery opened its doors in 2008 in Miami and later in New York City in the summer of 2009. With the intention of establishing itself in Mexico, it changed its space to Mexico City and later to Monterrey, where its main headquarters are currently located. FF Projects focuses on long lasting relationships with an international roster of multidisciplinary artists including Ryan Gander, Amadour, Bosco Sodi, Mario García Torres, Stefan Brüggemann, Peter Saville, Brian Eno, and Helmut Lang. Bosco Sodi
Bosco Sodi (born 1970 in Mexico City) is a Mexican contemporary artist who works in painting, sculpture, and architectural projects. He is known for using raw and natural materials such as sawdust, pigments, and clay to create large-scale textured works that explore themes of nature, impermanence, and materiality. His artistic approach is influenced by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, which emphasizes imperfection and the transient nature of life. Sodi’s work involves an ongoing exploration of the expressive potential of natural materials, as well as cultural heritage, spirituality, and contemporary art. Colección Jumex is a private art collection owned by Eugenio López Alonso. The collection is housed at Museo Jumex, the main outpost of Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo, located in the Polanco neighborhood in Mexico City. The museum opened in November, 2013 in a building designed by David Chipperflield. The main purpose of the museum is to promote the production, discussion and knowledge about contemporary art in Mexico. The museum produces exhibitions and also showcases works that are part of the collection. Helmut Lang (artist)
Helmut Lang (born 10 March 1956) is an Austrian artist and former fashion designer and mentor who lives and works in New York and on Long Island. Career In 1986, Lang showed his first Helmut Lang runway collection in Paris at Centre Georges Pompidou. His first Helmut men's collection debuted in 1987 and a decade later he moved his label from Vienna to New York. Lang used unconventional materials such as rubber, feathers and metallic fabrics and redefined the silhouette of the 1990s and early 2000s. He broke away from the runway show-as-spectacle in the height of the 1980s opulence and was the first to stream his collection online in 1998. Lang's brand was known for its utilitarian, minimalist aesthetic, as well as for his prestige range of denim. Brian Eno
Brian Peter George Jean-Baptiste de la Salle Eno (, born 15 May 1948), also mononymously known as Eno, is an English musician, songwriter, record producer, visual artist, and activist. He is best known for his pioneering contributions to ambient music and electronica, and for producing, recording, and writing works in rock music, rock and pop music. Peter Saville (graphic Designer)
Peter Andrew Saville (born 9 October 1955) is an English art director and graphic designer. He designed many record sleeves for Factory Records, which he co-founded in 1978 alongside Tony Wilson and Alan Erasmus. Early life Peter Saville was born in Manchester, Lancashire, and attended St Ambrose College. He studied graphic design at Manchester Polytechnic from 1975 to 1978. Saville became involved in the music scene after meeting Tony Wilson, the journalist and broadcaster. The meeting resulted in Wilson commissioning the first Factory poster ( FAC 1). Mario García Torres (born 1975) is a visual and conceptual artist. He has used various media, including film, sound, performance, ‘museographic installations’ and video as a means to create his art. García Torres often mentioned untold or ‘minor’ histories, as departing points for his work. Ryan Gander (born 1976) is a British artist. Since 2003, Gander has produced a body of artworks in different forms, ranging from sculpture, apparel, writing, architecture, painting, typefaces, publications, and performance.
