FC Shakhter Karagandy
Football Club Shakhter (), commonly referred to as FC Shakhter Karagandy ( ), is a professional football club based in Karagandy, Kazakhstan. They have been members of the Kazakhstan Premier League since its foundation in 1992, but fell of to the first division league in 2024. They have won the championship 3 times. History After reaching third place in 1995 and 2007, their first championship was won in 2011. Before this they were one of the leading Kazakh teams in the football of the Soviet Union. On 18 September 2006, Brazilian forward Nilton Pereira Mendes died after collapsing during a training session with the club. On 19 September 2008, Shakhter and Vostok were disqualified from the Kazakhstan Premier League for playing a fixed match, club coaches and management involved were banned from football for 60 months. The Kazakhstan Professional Football League (, ''Qazaqstan Premier Ligasy''), commonly referred to as the Kazakh Premier League or simply the Premier League, is a professional association football league in Kazakhstan and the highest level of the Football in Kazakhstan, Kazakh football league system. The league is controlled by the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and was set up in 1992. The league is fed into by the Kazakhstan First Division, First Division and starts in spring and finishes in late autumn because of the low temperatures in the winter, with each championship corresponding to a calendar year. The Kazakhstan Cup is the main Single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Kazakhstan Football (soccer), football, run by the Football Federation of Kazakhstan. The tournament was initially founded in 1936 as a competition for clubs in the Kazakh SSR but did not become a proper national competition until 1992. Vakhid Masudov
Vakhid Masudov (; born 10 October 1959) is a Kazakh football coach and a former midfielder who is the head coach of Aksu. He played for the national team of Kazakhstan. Master of Sports of the USSR (1986). Has a coaching category "A". Career In the spring of 1977 he made his debut in the team of masters «Khimik» (Dzhambul). A year later, he moved to the «Xorazm» team from Xonqa, where he was recommended by ex-Khimik player Christopher Kaskinidi. Returning to Dzhambul in the fall of 1978, he received a summons to the military registration and enlistment office and went to serve in a team from Kyzylorda «Orbita». In 1980, «Kairat's» mentor Igor Semyonovich Volchok called him to him, who created a team in Alma-Ata for the future. Magomed Musayevich Adiyev (; born 30 June 1977) is a Russian football coach and a former player who is the manager of Russian Premier League club Krylia Sovetov Samara. Coaching career On 14 November 2019, he signed a 1.5-year contract with Russian Football National League club FC Chayka Peschanokopskoye. He left Chayka by mutual consent on 5 February 2021. 2020 FC Shakhter Karagandy Season
The 2020 FC Shakhter Karagandy season was the 30th successive season that the club played in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan. Shakhter Karagandy finished the season in 4th position and as a result qualified for the 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League. Season Events On 13 March, the Football Federation of Kazakhstan announced all league fixtures would be played behind closed doors for the foreseeable future due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Vyacheslav Hroznyi
Vyacheslav Viktorovych Hrozny (; born 12 July 1956) is a Ukrainian football player and manager. Career He is a holder of the 1980 KFK Cup of the Ukrainian SSR as a player of FC Nyva Ternopil when it used to play in Pidhaitsi. Hrozny is a graduate of the Lutsk Pedagogical Institute and the Higher School of Coaches in Moscow. Since the late 1980s coached number of clubs in post-Soviet countries. Until his appointment with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the mid-1990s, Hrozny coached as an assistant to a head coach. In 1997, he was suspended from coaching in Ukraine and moved abroad. Hrozny returned in 2002 after being appointed as a coach of the newly formed club Arsenal Kyiv. But he did not stay in Ukraine for too long and in 2008 Hrozny left again to coach Terek Grozny and FC Tobol. On 30 December 2019, Hroznyi was announced as the new manager of Shakhter Karagandy.
