FC Sens
Football Club Sens is a French football club based in Sens, Yonne. The club currently plays in Régional 1, the sixth tier of the French football league system. History It was founded in 1987 as a result of a merger between two teams, Stade de Sens and L'Alliance Sens. After starting at the regional level, in Division d'Honneur de Bourgogne, the club won its first title in 1992 and was promoted to the national level, Division 4 (then called National 3). The club won the league title in 1995 and was promoted to National 2 but went down again after just one season. Two years later, the club was relegated to DH Bourgogne where it spent five seasons before being promoted back to the CFA2 in 2003. After seven seasons of stability at this level, the club was relegated again, in 2011 to DH Bourgogne. Stade (), officially the Hanseatic City of Stade (german: Hansestadt Stade, nds, Hansestadt Stood) is a city in Lower Saxony in northern Germany. Hop-o'-My-Thumb (Hop-on-My-Thumb), or Hop o' My Thumb, also known as Little Thumbling, Little Thumb, or Little Poucet (french: Le petit Poucet), is one of the eight fairytales published by Charles Perrault in ''Histoires ou Contes du temps passé'' (1697), now world-renowned. It is Aarne-Thompson type 327B. The small boy defeats the ogre. Lionel Charbonnier
Lionel André Michel Charbonnier (born 25 October 1966) is a French football manager and former professional player who played as a goalkeeper. After retiring, he became a football manager and managed Aceh United of the Liga Primer Indonesia in the season before they folded along with their independent league. Charbonnier played for the AJ Auxerre side which won the Ligue 1 title and Coupe de France in the 1995–96 season under the management of Guy Roux. After eleven seasons with Auxerre from 1987 to 1998 he joined Rangers FC in Scotland, where he won the treble of Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup in his first season, 1998–99. They retained the League and Cup in his second season. He retired in 2002 after a season with Lausanne Sports of the Swiss Super League. The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I. Sens () is a commune in the Yonne department in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in north-central France, 120 km from Paris.
