FC Neman
FC Neman Grodno or FK Nyoman Hrodna (; ) is a Belarusian professional football club based in the city of Grodno. It is named after the Neman River and founded in 1964. Since 1992, the team has participated in the highest division of Belarusian football league system. History Since 1964, the team was playing in the third tier of the Soviet football system almost constantly, excluding two seasons (1968 and 1969) spent in the second tier. Since 1992, Neman plays in the Belarusian Premier League. In 1993, they won the Belarusian Cup. The most successful years for the team were in the early 2000s, when they finished fourth twice in a row before finishing second in 2002 after losing the first place play-off against BATE Borisov. Neman Stadium
Neman Stadium (, ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Grodno, Belarus. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of FC Neman Grodno, Neman Grodno. History The stadium was built in 1963 and was called Krasnoye Znamya Stadium. The name was changed in 1993. The original stadium capacity was 15,000. The stadium was modernized between 2002 and 2008, reducing its capacity to 8,500. International use The stadium has been used by FC Neman Grodno, Neman Grodno in international matches. In February 2013, it was used as a home ground by FC BATE Borisov, BATE Borisov in a UEFA Europa League match against Turkish side Fenerbahçe S.K. (football), Fenerbahçe, due to unavailability of other stadiums. The stadium was the home ground for Belarus national football team, Belarus on one occasion, a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Andorra national football team, Andorra in June 2009 which Belarus won 5–1. Yahor Vyachaslavavich Zubovich (; ; born 1 June 1989) is a Belarusian professional footballer who plays for Neman Grodno. Club career Born in Uzda, Zubovich began playing football in the FC Torpedo-SKA Minsk youth system. He made one senior appearance for the club in the Belarusian Second League before leaving for FC MTZ-RIPO where he made his Belarusian Premier League debut in 2007. On January 1, 2018, he moved to the Malaysian Super League team Melaka United. International career During 2008–09, Zubovich was involved in the youth team of Belarus.
