Professional Football Club Etar 1924 (), commonly referred to as Etar 1924 Veliko Tarnovo, is a former Bulgarian professional football club based in Veliko Tarnovo. They were last competing in the 2012–13 season of the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the top tier of professional football in Bulgaria. The club replaced the old FC Etar (Veliko Tarnovo), which won the Bulgarian championship in 1991. The club's home ground had been Ivaylo Stadium since 1958, and their main nicknames were the Bolyars and the Violets, the latter in reference to the colour of their home kit, which was often mistaken for purple. The club folded following the end of the 2012–13 A PFG due to financial difficulties. Etar Veliko Tarnovo acquired the license of Botev Debelets and played in the Bulgarian V AFG in the 2013/14 season. Stadion Ivaylo
Stadion Ivaylo () is a multi-purpose stadium in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of SFC Etar Veliko Tarnovo, Etar Veliko Tarnovo. The stadium holds 15,000 people and was built in 1958. The highest attendance ever at the venue was 40,000 on 18 September 1969 during a match between Etar and PFC Levski Sofia, Levski Sofia. The match ended with a 0-2 defeat for Etar. In 1974, the stadium hosted a first round of the 1974–75 UEFA Cup between Etar and Inter Milan (0:0) with an attendance of 27,000. On 2 October 1991, on stadium Ivaylo, Etar secured a 1:1 draw with German champions 1. Etar () is a Bulgarian sports football club based in Veliko Tarnovo, that plays in the Bulgarian Second League, the second level of Bulgarian football. Etar was established in 2013, shortly after the folding of Etar 1924, which was dissolved for financial reasons after the 2012–13 season. Etar 1924, on the other hand, was established as a result of the dissolution of the historical FC Etar (Veliko Tarnovo). Although the three clubs share similar names and colors, the Bulgarian Football Union considers them separate entities and records are not shared between the three. The 2012–13 A Group was the 89th season of the Bulgarian national top football division, and the 65th of A Group as the top-tier football league in the country. The season began on 11 August 2012 and ended with the last games on 25 May 2013. Ludogorets Razgrad won the A Group title for a second consecutive season, after Levski were leading prior to the last round match, but made a draw with Slavia. Teams Vidima-Rakovski, Kaliakra and Svetkavitsa were relegated after finishing in the bottom three places of the table at the end of season 2011–12. Tsanko Nikolaev Tsvetanov (; born 6 January 1970) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer who played as a left-back. After ending his playing career he began coaching, most of the time being the assistant of manager Stanimir Stoilov. Club career Tsvetanov was born in Svishtov, Bulgaria. His professional career began in 1987 by playing one season for Akademik Svishtov. Soon he was noticed by Etar Veliko Tarnovo, a team that was a powerhouse in Bulgarian football at the time. Profesionalen futbolen klub Svetkavitsa 1922 (; ) is a Bulgarian football club based in Targovishte, which currently competes in Bulgaria's third tier, the North-East Third League.
