FC Daşoguz
Turan Football Club () is a football (soccer), football club based in Daşoguz, Turkmenistan. They play in the top division in Turkmen football, the Turkmenistan Higher League. Their home stadium is Sport toplumy (Daşoguz), Sport Toplumy Stadium. In May 2010, the club changed its name to Daşoguz from Turan Daşoguz by the decision of Turkmenistan Football Federation. In 2016, the old name returned. Sport Toplumy (Daşoguz)
Sport Toplumy Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Daşoguz, Turkmenistan. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and serves as the home stadium for FC Daşoguz. The stadium holds 10,000 people. History The sports complex, which is spread over 13 hectares, opened in 2010. There are spectator stands which are designed for 10,000 people, as well as, treadmills laid around the football field for athletes. The sports complex offers facilities for various sports. It features an indoor swimming pool, rooms for volleyball, basketball, boxing and Turkmen national wrestling Kurash, göreş. Also, there are open areas for mini-football, volleyball, basketball courts and two tennis courts. There is a sportswear and souvenir shop and a hotel with 50 seats for athletes and guests. Daşoguz
Daşoguz (also Dashoguz, Dasoguz; roughly "stone spring" in Turkmen), formerly known as Tashauz (until 1992; ) and Dashkhovuz (1992–1999; ), is a large city in northern Turkmenistan and the capital of Daşoguz Province. The Uzbekistan border is about 10 km away. Geography It is located at latitude 41.833° north, longitude 59.9667° east, at an average of 88 meters above sea level.
