FC Chibati ( ka, საფეხბურთო კლუბი ჩიბათი) is a Georgia (country), Georgian association football club based in Lanchkhuti, which currently competes in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of the Football in Georgia (country), national league system. History Chibati were founded in 1983. They served as a reserve team for FC Guria Lanchkhuti, Guria and participated in the second division of Georgian championship for several years. In 2018, the team was restored on the basis of a local Sport Centre. The next year they took part in Regionuli Liga, where the debutants under Revaz Kukuladze qualified for the Promotion Group. In the second stage of the competition the team finished 9th. In the 2020 season, shortened by COVID-19 pandemic, COVID, Chibati finished in mid-table. Lanchkhuti
Lanchkhuti ( ka, ლანჩხუთი) is a city in western Georgian region of Guria. It has a population of about 8,000. Lanchkhuti received city status in 1961. Under the USSR, it was the centre of the Georgian SSR Lanchkhuti area and today continues to serve as the capital of the eponymous district within the Guria region. Lanchkhuti is an industrial town with a tea processing factory, cannery, meat and dairy factory and a brick and tile factory. The town is served by a railway station on the Samtredia-Batumi line. Regionuli Liga ( Georgian: რეგიონული ლიგა), run by Georgian Football Federation since 1990, is the fifth and lowest division of the Georgian league system after Erovnuli Liga, Erovnuli Liga 2, Liga 3 and Liga 4. Its participants are both professional clubs and reserve teams of higher league members. Prior to the introduction of Liga 4 in 2019, Regionuli Liga was the fifth tier. Structure As the name implies, the league is based on regional principle. Depending on the number of participating clubs, it is divided into several groups. FC Guria is a Georgian association football club from Lanchkhuti, which competes in Liga 3, the third tier of the national league. Being one of the strongest Georgian teams in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Guria have taken part in the Soviet Top league, also won the national Cup and played fifteen seasons in Umaglesi Liga, twice claiming silver medals. FC Bakhmaro ('' Georgian'': საფეხბურთო კლუბი ბახმარო) is a Georgian association football club based in Chokhatauri. The club currently competes in Liga 3, the third tier of the national football system. History FC Bakhmaro have never participated in the top division of Georgian football. In the 1990s they took part in the second league for several seasons and in the mid-2010s the club mostly played in the third division, where they usually stayed in top half of the table. Despite coming 2nd in their group in 2016, Bakhmaro left the third tier in view of reorganization of the entire league system, which meant relegation for a vast majority of clubs.
