F.C. Reno
Football Club Reno is a Jamaican football team based in Savanna-la-Mar, the capital of the parish of Westmoreland, in western Jamaica. Their home stadium is Frome Sports Club, which can hold a capacity of up to 2,000. The club was known as Reno FC until 2015, when the name was reworked to FC Reno. History Reno were Jamaican champions three times in the 1990s. After over 10 years in the NPL, they were relegated to the Western Super League in 2009, only to return in 2010 after a year in the second division. They were, however, relegated again in 2012. Savanna-la-Mar
Savanna-la-Mar (commonly known as Sav-la-Mar, or simply Sav) is the chief town and capital of Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica. A coastal town, it contains an 18th-century fort constructed for colonial defence against pirates in the Caribbean. History Savanna-la-Mar was originally established as a settlement in Spanish Jamaica. In 1780, the town was completely destroyed by a powerful hurricane known as Savanna-la-Mar hurricane. It was rebuilt, as the port was important to the Atlantic slave trade as well as the sugar trade. Wendell Downswell (born 5 February 1958) the current Jamaica youth national team technical director as well as the technical director of Jamaica Playing career High school and college Downswell was born Savannah-la-Mar, Jamaica. The 2018–19 Red Stripe Premier League was the 45th season of the National Premier League, the top division association football, football competition in Jamaica. The season began on 16 September 2018 and ended on 29 April 2019. Portmore United F.C., Portmore United were the defending champions, having won their 6th title 2017–18 National Premier League, the previous season. Teams Sandals South Coast F.C., Sandals South Coast FC and Boys' Town F.C., Boys' Town finished 11th and 12th in last season's competition and were relegated to their respective regional Super Leagues, the Western Super League and KSAFA Super League respectively. Westmoreland () is the westernmost Parishes of Jamaica, parish in Jamaica, on the south side of the island. The Captain's Bakery Western Confederation Super League is a third division football league in the nation of Jamaica. The twelve teams that currently compete in the league are based in the parishes of Hanover, St. James, Trelawny and Westmoreland.
