Isernia Football Club, shortened as Isernia, is an Italian association football club based in the city of Isernia, Molise. The club currently plays in Serie D. Their nickname is "pentri" (this is the name of most important tribe of the Samnites). They play their home matches at Stadio Mario Lancellotta. Samnium ( it, Sannio) is a Latin exonym for a region of Southern Italy anciently inhabited by the Samnites. Their own endonyms were ''Safinim'' for the country (attested in one inscription and one coin legend) and ''Safineis'' for the The language of these endonyms and of the population was the Oscan language. Lega Pro Seconda Divisione
Lega Pro Seconda Divisione was the fourth highest football league in Italy, the lowest with a professional status. Usually it consisted of 36 teams, but in the 2011–12 season, there were 41 teams divided geographically into two divisions of 20 and 21.
