F.C. Indiana (WPSL)
F.C. Indiana, also known as F.C. Indiana Lionesses, is an American women's soccer team based in Indiana. Founded in 2003, the team is currently a member of the United Women's Soccer league. They play their home games at Newton Park in Lakeville, Indiana. The team has an associated men's team, also called F.C. Indiana Lions, who play in the National Premier Soccer League and Premier Arena Soccer League. The club's colors are red and white. History In 2005, FC Indiana became the second North American women's team ever to win a league and cup double, capturing the WPSL national championship and the USASA Women's Open national championship (the Carolina Courage of the former Women's United Soccer Association USAwon the Founder's Cup and WUSA league title in 2002). Shek Borkowski
Shek Borkowski (born 30 January 1963) is a Polish association football manager who is currently the head coach of South Bend Lions in the USL League Two. He previously managed the Puerto Rico women's national football team from 2017 to 2018. and the Haiti women's national football team, Haiti from 2012 to 2017. Known primarily for his prominence within women's soccer, Borkowski has won 7 league titles and 2 cups in 3 countries. He is the only Polish manager to win domestic titles in three different countries. He is most notable for his success with FC Indiana where he won two WPSL titles and two US Open Cup titles. Borkowski was named the 2005 WPSL National Coach of the Year and received the 2008 Field Turf W-League Coach of the Year award. The Women's Premier Soccer League Elite (WPSL Elite) was a women's semi-professional soccer league created by the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) to support the sport in the United States, both from continued interest by WPSL teams in professionalism and as a response to the suspension (and ultimate demise) of the Women's Professional Soccer, WPS.
