The car's Jaguar Land Rover car platforms#D6a, JLR D6a platform is based on a shortened version of the Jaguar XK (X150), XK's platform. It is the so-called "spiritual successor" to the Jaguar E-Type, E-Type. The car was launched initially as a 2-door convertible, soft-top convertible, with a 2-door fastback coupé version launched in 2013. The F-Type underwent a facelift for the 2021 model year. It was unveiled in December 2019, featuring a significantly restyled front end and dashboard, and simplified drivetrain options. Jaguar announced that the F-Type will be discontinued after the 2024 model year. Production ended in June 2024, by which time 87,731 examples had been built. MG F-type
The MG F-type Magna is a six-cylinder-engined car that was produced by MG from October 1931 to 1932. It was also known as the 12/70. Looking for a car to fill the gap between the M-Type Midget and the 18/80, MG turned to another of the engines that had become available from William Morris's acquisition of Wolseley. This was the 1271 cc 6-cylinder version of the overhead camshaft engine used in the 1929 MG M type Midget and previously seen in the 1930 Wolseley Hornet and had dummy side covers to disguise its origins. Fitted with twin SU carburettors it produced at 4100 rpm at first, later increased to by revising the valve timing. Drive was to the rear wheels through a four-speed non-synchromesh gearbox of ENV manufacture. The chassis was a longer version of the one from the MG D-type with suspension by half-elliptic springs and Hartford friction shock absorbers all round with rigid front and rear axles. Wire wheels with 4.00 x 19 tyres and centre lock fixing were u ...

F-type Prisons
F-Type-Prisons, officially called F-type High Security Closed Institutions for the Execution of Sentences (''F tipi cezaevi / F Tipi Yüksek Güvenlikli Kapalı Ceza İnfaz Kurumu''), are high-security closed prisons designated by Turkish Law 5275 on the Execution of Sentences. Those sentenced to F-type prisons include political prisoners, members of armed organizations, people convicted of drug offences or organized crimes, and those sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment. Aggravated life imprisonment (''ağırlaştırılmış müebbet hapis cezası'') replaced the death penalty when it was abolished in 2002 and according to Article 47 of the Turkish Penal Code (TPC) it is a life sentence. History Before F-type prisons were built, prisoners in Turkey were held in ''koğuş'' (dormitories) with 50 or more prisoners. In April 1991 the Turkish parliament enacted the Anti-Terror-Law (ATL), which required that: This law was revised in Article 1 of Law 4666 on 1 May 2001. On 29 ...

Renault F-Type Engine
F Renault engine (F for ''fonte'', French for cast iron) is an automotive internal combustion engine, four-stroke, inline-four engine bored directly into the iron block, water cooled, with overhead camshaft driven by a timing belt, and with an aluminum cylinder head, developed and produced by Renault in the early '80s, making its appearance on the Renault 9 and 11. This engine is available in petrol and diesel versions, with 8 or 16 valves. History In December 1982, the Renault Board presented a new diesel engine with for the Renault 9. Known as "F8M", the new engine was designed by engineer George Douin and his team and broke with tradition by not featuring removable cylinder liners, thanks to advances in metallurgy that significantly slowed the wear of rubbing mechanical parts. The new four-cylinder unit adopted an overhead camshaft driven by a toothed belt that also controls the diesel injection pump. A second belt rotates the alternator and water pump, while a vacuum pum ...

F-type Asteroid
F-type asteroids are a relatively uncommon type of carbonaceous asteroid, falling into the wider C-type asteroid#C-group asteroids, C-group. Characteristics F-type asteroids have spectra generally similar to those of the B-type asteroid, B-type asteroids, but lack the "water" absorption feature around 3 μm indicative of hydrated minerals, and differ in the low wavelength part of the ultraviolet spectrum below 0.4 μm. The F-type and B-type asteroids are not distinguishable with the criteria used in the asteroid spectral types#SMASS classification, SMASS classification, so in that scheme are grouped together under the B-type asteroid, B-type. F-ATPase
F-ATPase, also known as F-Type ATPase, is an ATPase/ synthase found in bacterial plasma membranes, in mitochondrial inner membranes (in oxidative phosphorylation, where it is known as Complex V), and in chloroplast thylakoid membranes. It uses a proton A proton is a stable subatomic particle, symbol , Hydron (chemistry), H+, or 1H+ with a positive electric charge of +1 ''e'' (elementary charge). Its mass is slightly less than the mass of a neutron and approximately times the mass of an e ... gradient to drive ATP synthesis by allowing the passive flux of protons across the membrane down their electrochemical gradient and using the energy released by the transport reaction to release newly formed ATP from the active site of F-ATPase. Together with V-ATPases and A-ATPases, F-ATPases belong to superfamily of related rotary ATPases. F-ATPase consists of two domains: * the Fo domain, which is integral in the membrane and is composed of 3 different types of integral p ...

Type F Submarine
The were medium Imperial Japanese Navy submarines in commission during the 1920s. They were Japan's first true seagoing submarines and the earliest Japanese submarines classified as "second-class" or "medium" submarines. Design and description The Type F submarines were designed by the Italy, Italian firm Fiat-Laurenti and built under license by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Kawasaki at Kobe, Japan.Gray, p. 247. The Type F submarines were the Imperial Japanese Navy′s first true seagoing submarines, and when the Japanese adopted a three-tiered classification system of its submarines as first-class (''I (kana), I''), second-class or medium (''Ro (kana), Ro''), and third-class (''Ha (kana), Ha'') on 1 November 1924,Gray, p. 245. the Type F submarines were the earliest to receive the second-class classification, as reflected in their low numbers in the ''Ro'' series, and in fact they were the earliest Japanese submarine classified as anything higher than third-class. As built, Type F ...

Caudron Type F
The Caudron Type F was a French single-seat biplane produced just before World War I. China bought a dozen and at least two other examples, with different engines, competed in 1913, coming first and second in the biplane category of the cross-country race at Reims, France. Flown by Pierre Chanteloup, one was the first biplane to loop-the-loop. Design and development The Type F was a single-seat biplane with the same layout as all other Caudron land-based biplanes before it, apart from the Type B Multiplace. They were all twin-boom tractor-configuration aircraft with a short central nacelle and twin fins. Compared to the Type B-to- Type E range, the Type F differed most obviously in the nacelle design and the vertical tail shape. By 1913, when the Type F appeared, at least one of each of the earlier types had been modified from an equal-span biplane to a sesquiplane; like the Type E, the Type F was a sesquiplane from the start. Like these earlier Caudrons, the Type F was a wi ...

Handley Page Type F
The Handley Page Type F was a two-seat, single-engined monoplane designed to compete for a War Office prize for a specified military machine in 1912. It crashed before the trials got under way and, although it flew well later, only one was built. Design and development In layout and general appearance the Type F was similar to the earlier Type D and its contemporary, the Type E. Like them, the wings of the Type F had a strongly curved leading edge and a straight but swept-back trailing edge. They were wire braced above and below with the upper wires attached to a four-strut pyramidal pylon above the cockpit and below to the undercarriage structure, which was very similar to that of the Type E. Lateral control was by wing warping; the outer 40% of each wing was relatively flexible and could be twisted by wires running from the cockpit via the pylon to kingposts at 60% span. The Type F did not have the chord extensions seen on the outer parts of the Type E's wings. The Type ...
