''F(l)ag Football'' is a 2015 American documentary film on the National 🏳️🌈 Flag Football League directed by Seth Greenleaf. It documents the training of players on the NGFFL's New York Warriors team as they prepare for the 🏳️🌈 Bowl. The documentary explores masculinity in sports. The documentary stars, Wade Davis, team captain of the New York Warriors, Cyd Zeigler, co-founder of the NGFFL, Brenton Metzler, and Jared Garduno. Wade Davis (American Football)
Wade Alan Davis II (born July 28, 1977) is an American speaker, activist, writer, educator and former American football player. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Davis grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana and Aurora, Colorado. He played college football at Mesa State and Weber State. In 2000, Davis signed with the Tennessee Titans of the NFL as an undrafted free agent but was cut after the preseason. He made his professional debut in 2001 with the NFL Europe team Berlin Thunder and won the World Bowl IX title with the Thunder. After spending the 2001 preseason with the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, Davis again played the 2002 regular season in the NFL Europe with the Barcelona Dragons. He then participated in training camps and preseasons with the Tennessee Titans in 2002 and Washington Redskins in 2003 before retiring due to injury. Brenton Metzler is an American television producer. He won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lifestyle as supervising producer of the HGTV show '' Elbow Room''. He had a leading role in the documentary ''F(l)ag Football'' (2015). Early life and education Metzler was raised in Yuma, Colorado. His father was a third-generation farmer who also worked as an investigator in the Colorado public defender's office and a mother who worked in medical records, both of whom were born and raised in Yuma, Co.. At the age of 16, Metzler moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado, where he graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1997.
