''Eyes That See in the Dark'' is the fifteenth studio album by American country singer Kenny Rogers, released by RCA Records in August 1983. Background ''Eyes That See in the Dark'' marks Barry Gibb's third production project of the 1980s outside of the Bee Gees. Gibb wrote most of the songs that were more reminiscent of Rogers's days with The First Edition (band), the First Edition. Just after Barry Gibb contributed producing Dionne Warwick's ''Heartbreaker (Dionne Warwick album), Heartbreaker'' album, he and Rogers met later in the year and it was then that Rogers asked about some songs, and one of those songs was the Eyes That See in the Dark (song)#Barry Gibb version, title track. The other songs in this album were written in late 1982 and recorded in early 1983. The First Edition (band)
Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, until 1970 billed as the First Edition, were an American rock band. The band's style was difficult to singularly classify, as it incorporated elements of country, rock and psychedelic pop. George Terry (born 1950) is an American rock and blues guitarist and songwriter best known for his work with Eric Clapton in the 1970s and as a session musician with other artists, including ABBA, the Bee Gees, Joe Cocker, Andy Gibb, Freddie King, Diana Ross, Stephen Stills, and Kenny Rogers. Timothy John Pearson Renwick (born 7 August 1949) is an English guitarist. He is best known for his association with Al Stewart in his early career and for his long-standing role as lead guitarist for the Sutherland Brothers & Quiver.
