Eydís Evensen
Eydís Helena Evensen (born 5 February 1994), is an Icelandic pianist, vocalist, and former model. Her 2021 debut album, ''Bylur'', charted at #23 on the UK Classical Artist Albums Chart and she was listed on The Line of Best Fit's 2021 ''Artists on the Rise'' as well as on Classic FM's ''30 under 30 stars on the Rise'' list. Evensen has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, SXSW, the Nobel Prize Museum, and the ESNS Festival, among others, and has been a twice-featured performer on KEXP. Early life and education Eydís Evensen was born in Blönduós, Iceland. She began taking flute lessons at five years of age and then moved onto piano lessons when she was six years old. To cope with the harsh Icelandic winters, Evensen and her four older siblings practiced musical instruments and listened to their parents' record collection, which included jazz and Led Zeppelin. Blönduós
Blönduós () is a town and former municipality in the north of Iceland with a population of 895 in 2018. Like many towns and villages around Iceland, Blönduós did not emerge as a village until the late 19th century. The town is situated on Route 1 (Iceland), Route 1 at the mouth of the glacial river Blanda. Hrútey , a small island and natural reserve encircled by the river, is accessible via a pedestrian bridge just off the ring road. In 2022, the town merged with Húnavatnshreppur to form Húnabyggð. Philip Glass (born January 31, 1937) is an American composer and pianist. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential composers of the late 20th century. Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð (, and usually referred to as MH) is a state school, public Gymnasium (school), gymnasium located in Hlíðahverfi, Reykjavík, Iceland. Guðrún Ýr Eyfjörð Jóhannesdóttir (born 8 January 1996), known by the stage name GDRN, is an Icelandic singer and actress. Much of her music is jazz-influenced pop. She won four awards at the 2018 Icelandic Music Awards (including as pop singer of the year) and was nominated for the 2018 Nordic Music Prize. Svartidauði were an Icelandic black metal band from Kópavogur that formed in 2002 and disbanded in 2022. The name 'Svarti Dauði' is Icelandic for "Black Death". They released three demos before they released their debut album '' Flesh Cathedral'' on Terratur Possessions in 2012, as well as a split EP with the Chilean black metal band 'Perdition'.
