Extreme Rules (2017)
The 2017 Extreme Rules was the ninth annual Extreme Rules professional wrestling pay-per-view and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was held exclusively for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw brand division. The event took place on June 4, 2017, at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the second Extreme Rules event to take place at this venue after the 2010 edition when the arena was still called the 1st Mariner Arena (renamed to Royal Farms Arena in 2014). It was also the only brand-exclusive Extreme Rules event to be held during either of WWE's brand extension periods. The concept of Extreme Rules is that the event features various hardcore-based matches. Seven matches were contested at the event, including one match on the Kickoff pre-show. Only three of the main card's matches were contested under a hardcore stipulation. The Hardy Boyz
The Hardys, also known as The Hardy Boyz, are an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of real-life brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy, who are currently appearing in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The team is currently inactive due to Jeff being suspended for driving under the influence . They first began teaming together in 1993 on the independent circuit, winning the NWA 2000 Tag Team Championship in NWA and founding OMEGA Championship Wrestling, where they held the OMEGA Tag Team Championship. The WWE Raw Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling world tag team championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE, representing the Raw brand division. It is one of two male tag team championships for WWE's main roster, along with SmackDown's Tag Team Championship.
