''Expose'' is the ninth studio album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on September 7, 1994, through Pony Canyon. The album was recorded and mastered in Los Angeles. ''Expose'' is Kudo's first self-produced album. It yielded the two singles, "Blue Rose (song), Blue Rose" and "Jaguar Line". Critical reception Kudo was praised for her "headstrong" approach to the new "hard" sound of the album. CDJournal critics positively noted Kudo's "exhilarated" vocal performance, describing it as a mix between a traditionally Japanese singing technique and a more Western influenced one. Shizuka Kudo
, known by her maiden name , is a Japanese singer, actress and former idol, born in Hamura, Tokyo, Japan. She was a member of Onyanko Club between May 1986 and September 1987 and went on to have a successful solo career with 11 number-one hits. Biography Kudo began her singing career at the age of 14 as a member of three-piece pop unit Seventeen Club consisted of runners-up from the 1984 Miss Seventeen Contest organized by Japanese teen magazine ''Seventeen'', which Shueisha publishes. They had two singles released by CBS/Sony Records in 1985. Their first single "Su Ki Futari Tomo!" was released on 21 January 1985, and was used in television advertisements for snack food products "Suzuki Kun" and "Sato Kun" manufactured and sold by S&B Foods. Aska, (born on February 24, 1958 in Ono, Onojō, Fukuoka) is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Aska is best known for work as part of the music duo Chage and Aska. As a composer, he wrote most of the duo's hit songs, including "Morning Moon", "Love Song", "Say Yes", and "Meguriai". He has also written for many other singers and groups, including Hikaru Genji. He began a solo career in 1987, and was highly successful in the early 1990s. His most well-known song as a solo singer is "Hajimari wa Itsumo Ame" (The Start Is Always Rain), which was a single from his second solo album.
