Exploration Peak is a small peak in the unincorporated town of Enterprise, Nevada, United States in the planned community of Mountain's Edge just south of State Route 160 (Blue Diamond Road). Enterprise is an unincorporated town in the Las Vegas Valley in Clark County, Nevada, United States. The population was 221,831 at the 2020 U.S. Census, up from 14,676 at the 2000 census. It was founded on December 17, 1996. Like other unincorporated towns in the Las Vegas Valley, it uses Las Vegas ZIP codes for addresses within its boundaries. History The first inhabitants were the Paiute Indians, who were spread across the Las Vegas Valley. In 1905, the railroad town of Arden was formed for miners who worked at the nearby gypsum mines just west of the area. The area was part of Lincoln County until 1909, when Clark County was split off from Lincoln County. The oldest structure in the area is a water tower, which was built in 1926. State Route 160 (SR 160) is a state highway in southern Nevada, United States. It connects the southern Las Vegas Valley to U.S. Route 95 (US 95) northwest of the city via the Pahrump Valley. The Old Spanish Trail ( es, Viejo Sendero Español) is a historical trade route that connected the northern New Mexico settlements of (or near) Santa Fe, New Mexico with those of Los Angeles, California and southern California.
