Exit Elvis
''Exit Elvis'' is the first and only album by Tribe of Judah. It was the first full-length album by Gary Cherone after leaving Van Halen. The sound of the album is described as a mix between hard rock, industrial and electronica with a major use of keyboards and synthesizers. The album also features former Extreme members Pat Badger (bass) and Mike Mangini (drums). At least one track, "Left for Dead", was written by Cherone while in Van Halen, to be used in VH's next album with him (which never happened due to Cherone's departure). Tribe Of Judah (band)
Tribe of Judah was an American rock and roll group formed by vocalist Gary Cherone after his brief 1998 stint with Van Halen. Tribe of Judah featured musicians Cherone had worked with in the band Extreme: bassist Pat Badger and drummer Mike Mangini. An eponymous EP was released in 2001 and a full-length album was released in late 2002. Tribe of Judah is different from Cherone's other work as it features a more industrial/electronic sound. At least one song, " Left for Dead", was (supposedly) slated to be a track on a follow-up Van Halen album which would have featured Cherone. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. Steve Ferlazzo
Stephen Anthony Ferlazzo Jr. is an American keyboard player, based in California. After graduating at the Berklee School of Music, he has played with two members of Extreme in their projects after the band broke up: he was the keyboardist for Gary Cherone in his Tribe of Judah project, and for Nuno Bettencourt in his DramaGods band. He guested on the debut Science Faxtion album, ''Living on Another Frequency'' and toured with Avril Lavigne. He is the creator and organizer of the monthly (formerly weekly) live music production Soundcheck Live, which takes place at Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood, California. Mike Mangini
Michael Anthony Mangini (born April 18, 1963) is an American musician, best known for his tenure with the progressive metal band Dream Theater, with whom he performed from 2010 to 2023. He has also played with artists and bands including Annihilator (band), Annihilator, Extreme (band), Extreme, James LaBrie, and Steve Vai. Before joining Dream Theater, Mangini was a faculty member at Berklee College of Music. Between 2002 and 2005, he set five World's Fastest Drummer records. He also appeared on the Discovery Channel series ''Time Warp (TV series), Time Warp'', where his drumming was captured with high-speed cameras. Pat Badger
Patrick John Badger (born July 22, 1967) is a musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the bass guitarist in the band Extreme. He has also performed in groups such as Tribe of Judah and Dark Desert Eagles. Early life Badger was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Al Badger and Lily Badger ( Aguilar). He is of Irish and Honduran descent. Extreme is an American rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1985, that reached the height of their popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They have released six studio albums, two EPs (in Japan) and two compilation albums since their formation. Hard rock or heavy rock is a heavier subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and Distortion (music), distorted electric guitars. Gary Cherone
Gary Francis Caine Cherone ( ; born July 26, 1961) is an American rock singer and songwriter. Cherone is known for his work as the lead vocalist of the Boston rock group Extreme (band), Extreme and Van Halen. Early life Cherone grew up in Malden, Massachusetts, and attended Malden High School. He is the third of five brothers and the younger fraternal twin of Greg Cherone. In his teenage years, Cherone turned to singing in local bands and was heavily influenced by the reigning rock frontmen of the day, most notably Roger Daltrey of The Who, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and Queen (band), Queen's Freddie Mercury. In 1979 Cherone and drummer friend Paul Geary along with guitarist Matt McKay, formed a hard-rock band called Adrenalin, which performed locally. In 1981, they changed the band's name to The Dream and recorded a six-song independent vinyl EP.
