Exile (artist)
Tim Exile (or Exile) is the recording alias of Timothy Charles Shaw, a producer and performer of electronic music spanning drum and bass, IDM, breakcore and gabber. Early life Exile was educated at Rendcomb College from 1990 to 1997 and studied philosophy at Durham University, where he wrote his dissertation on the difference between music and noise. He then completed a Master of Arts within the Durham University Department of Music, graduating in 2002. History A classically trained violinist, he began experimenting with electronic music aged 12, and gained his first drum and bass release in 1999. In the following years he released mostly for the legendary Moving Shadow imprint, and John B's Beta Recordings, having met John B at Durham. Campus Party (CP) is a conference and hackathon. John Bryn Williams (born 1977), known as John B, is an English disc jockey and electronic music producer. He is widely recognised for his eccentric clothing, wild hair, and his production of several cutting edge drum and bass tracks. Samuel Morris Zornow (born January 27, 1986), better known as DJ Shiftee, is a New York City based DJ and turntablist. Career Zornow is the 2009 DMC World DJ Finals Champion, the only American DJ to date to have won the DMC Battle for World Supremacy, and was also the youngest champion to win the DMC New York Regional (age 17 in 2003) until DJ Dwells took the title in 2014, at the age of 13. Zornow is also a member of the Lo-Livez DJ crew and DJ program director at electronic music production and DJ school, DubSpot. Imogen Jennifer Jane Heap ( ; born 9 December 1977) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. James Alexander Lidderdale (born 18 September 1973), known professionally as Jamie Lidell, is an English musician, soul singer and podcast host. Lidell was formerly a part of Super Collider. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee, US.
