Exagon Engineering
Exagon Engineering is a French auto racing team which is based in Magny-Cours. The team was founded by director Luc Marchetti in 2004, and is managed by former racer Cathy Muller who is the older sister of successful Touring car racing, touring car driver Yvan Muller. Exagon Engineering are best known for preparing cars to enter in the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA World Touring Car Championship, although they also run cars in other events such as rallycross, sportscar racing and ice racing. They first entered the WTCC in 2007 World Touring Car Championship season, 2007, running a SEAT León for Belgium, Belgian driver Pierre-Yves Corthals in a full campaign, as well as Frenchman Anthony Beltoise in two rounds. Anthony Jean-Pierre Beltoise (born 21 July 1971, in Neuilly-sur-Seine) is a French auto racing driver. He is the son of former Grand Prix motorcycle racer and Formula One driver Jean-Pierre Beltoise and nephew of fellow Formula One driver François Cevert, as his mother is Cevert's sister. The Exagon Furtive-eGT is a four-seat electric grand tourer sports car produced by Exagon Motors. It was unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show as a concept. A slightly amended pre-production version was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013. The Furtive-eGT has two electric water-cooled motors that spin at 10,000 rpm and a three speed semi-automatic transmission bringing it to a top speed of . Mehdi Bennani (, born 25 August 1983) is a Morocco, Moroccan racing driver who currently competes in the TCR Europe with Sébastien Loeb Racing. He was TCR Europe Champion in 2020 with the Belgian team Comtoyou Racing. He became the first Moroccan driver to win a world championship race organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA, after his victory in Shanghai in the WTCC (FM), WTCC. The Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan (also known as Marrakech Street Circuit and Marrakech Racetrack) is a semi-permanent street circuit in Agdal district, Marrakech, Morocco. The circuit is operated by MGP. It has a capacity of 10,000 spectators. History MGP's partner in Morocco, D3 Motorsport Development, was given the responsibility of the design of the street circuit. 2009 World Touring Car Championship Season
The 2009 World Touring Car Championship season was the sixth Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA World Touring Car Championship season, the fifth since its 2005 return. It began on 8 March, and ended on 22 November, after twenty-four races. The championship, which was reserved for Super 2000, Super 2000 Cars and Diesel 2000 Cars, comprised two titles, the FIA World Touring Car Champion for Drivers and the FIA World Touring Car Champion for Manufacturers. Italian Gabriele Tarquini won the Drivers' Championship by four points from SEAT Sport team-mate Yvan Muller, with Schnitzer Motorsport, BMW Team Germany's Augusto Farfus finishing third ten points behind Muller.
