Ewan Philip Fraser Ashman (born 3 April 2000) is a professional rugby union player who plays as a Hooker (rugby union), hooker for United Rugby Championship club Edinburgh Rugby. Professional career Club Born in Toronto, Ontario, Ashman started playing rugby at Sandbach RUFC. First playing as a Centre (Rugby Union), centre or a Back row (rugby union), back row, Ashman eventually became a hooker. He made his senior debut for the Cheshire’s club in Midlands Premier during the 2017–18 season, also joining Sale Sharks academy in 2017. He joined the Sharks' professional squad ahead of the 2018–19 Premiership Rugby, 2018–19 seasons. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Premiership Rugby, officially known as Gallagher Premiership Rugby, or the Gallagher Premiership for sponsorship reasons, is an English professional rugby union competition, consisting of 10 clubs, and is the top division of the English rugby union system. National League 1
National One, up until 2023 known as National League 1 and previously known before September 2009 as National Division Two), is the third of three national leagues in the domestic rugby union competition of England. It was known as Courage League National Division Three when founded in 1987. Richmond R.F.C., Richmond are the current champions. The Rugby Football Union (RFU) approved a new structure for the National Leagues from the 2022–23 season. This division was reduced to fourteen teams, playing each other on a home and away basis to make a total of 26 matches each. Cameron Fenton (born 20 November 1995 in Scotland) is a Scottish rugby union player who plays for Edinburgh Rugby in the Pro14. Fenton can play at Hooker or Prop positions. He is a graduate of the Scottish Rugby Academy. Amateur career Fenton began playing rugby at Bell Baxter High School, with whom he won the Brewin Dolphin Plate. David Murray Campbell Cherry (born 3 January 1991) is a Scottish professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for United Rugby Championship club Edinburgh Rugby and the Scotland national team. Professional career Club Cherry played for Currie until 2014. On leaving London Scottish he then played for French Federale 2 side Stade Niçois.
