Evonne Britton
Evonne Fatimah Britton (born 28 July 1991) is an American hurdler. In 2010, she was the silver medalist in the 400 metres hurdles at the World U20 Championships. Since 2015, Britton has focused on the short hurdles, where she was the runner up at the 2019 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Biography Though Britton was born in Hyattsville, Maryland, she grew up in El Paso, Texas and began competitive sports in middle school. Attending Captain John L. Chapin High School, she was a Texas UIL state champion in the 100 metres hurdles. At the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics, Britton won a bronze medal in the 400 m hurdles, which was later upgraded to a silver medal after the drugs disqualification of race winner Katsiaryna Artyukh. Evonne Fay Goolagong Cawley (née Goolagong; born 31 July 1951) is an Australian former professional tennis player. She was ranked as the world No. 1 in women's singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), and was one of the world's leading players in the 1970s and early 1980s. Goolagong won 86 WTA Tour-level singles titles, including seven singles majors, and 46 doubles titles, including seven doubles majors. At the age of 19, Goolagong won the French Open singles and the Australian Open doubles championships (the latter with Margaret Court). She won the women's singles tournament at Wimbledon in 1971. In 1980 she won Wimbledon again, this time as a mother and becoming the first mother to win the title in 66 years. Hsu is managed by Music Nation Wingman Limited and signed by Universal Music Taiwan since her debut in 2002. Early life Evonne Hsu was born in Longview, Texas, United States.
