Evolve Wrestling was an American professional wrestling promotion which was founded in 2010 by former Ring of Honor booker and Dragon Gate USA vice president, Gabe Sapolsky. Over the course of its history, it held 146 events. Evolve Wrestling
Evolve (stylized all caps) was an American professional wrestling promotion founded in 2010 by former Ring of Honor booker and Dragon Gate USA vice president, Gabe Sapolsky. The company featured a roster of wrestlers from all over America, as well as several competitors from Japan. The promotion had a close working relationship with sister promotion Dragon Gate USA until Dragon Gate USA's closure in August 2015. In the same year, Evolve formed a relationship with WWE, allowing WWE to scout Evolve talent and potentially sign them. On July 2, 2020, WWE officially purchased Evolve. In March 2025, WWE relaunched Evolve as a new brand division with a new series titled ''WWE Evolve'' on Tubi. Kory Chavis
Kory Chavis is an American professional wrestler, also known by the ring name Rainman. He works for several independent promotions, including Dragon Gate USA, Full Impact Pro, and Evolve. Chavis wrestled with tag team partner Jon Davis as The Dark City Fight Club , and with Davis is a former co-holder of both the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Championship. Early life In high school, Chavis played football for one year, and played basketball and participated in wrestling for three years. Professional wrestling career After being trained by New Jack and Murder One in Atlanta, Georgia, Chavis made his professional wrestling debut on March 1, 1998. Rainman (2001–2007) Chavis quickly began using the name Rainman, and began competing for NWA Wildside. Gran Akuma
Gran Akuma (born December 20, 1974) is an American retired professional wrestler, best known for his work in Chikara. He has also worked for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Dragon Gate USA and Full Impact Pro (FIP). In Chikara, he was a member of The Kings of Wrestling stable, while also being a part of Team F.I.S.T. with Icarus and Chuck Taylor. On November 17, 2006, Akuma and Icarus defeated Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli to capture the Campeonatos de Parejas. Career Chikara (2002–2010) Gran Akuma debuted as a masked wrestler at a Chikara show on October 12, 2002, in Allentown, Pennsylvania and went on to take part in the inaugural Young Lions Cup later that year. In 2003 Akuma found a tag team partner in Icarus, and they formed the babyface Team F.I.S.T. (Friends In Similar Tights). Brodie Lee
Jonathan Huber (December 16, 1979 – December 26, 2020) was an American professional wrestler known as Brodie Lee. Huber performed under the ring name Luke Harper in WWE from 2012 to 2019, and as Mr. Brodie Lee in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2020. From 2003 to 2012, Huber performed as Brodie Lee on the American independent circuit for promotions such as Chikara, Ring of Honor, and Dragon Gate USA, as well as Dragon Gate Japan. Robert Goodwin (born November 1, 1981), better known by the ring name Hallowicked, is an American professional wrestler. He has performed primarily in the Chikara professional wrestling promotion, where he started his career in May 2002. His accomplishments in the promotion include becoming the inaugural Young Lions Cup Champion, a one-time Campeon de Parejas, a two-time Grand Champion and the winner of the 2003 Tag World Grand Prix and 2012 King of Trios tournaments. He served as an assistant trainer at The Wrestle Factory, operated by Chikara founder Mike Quackenbush.
