Evocation I - The Arcane Dominion
''Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion'' is the third studio album by Switzerland, Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie. It was released on 17 April 2009 through Nuclear Blast. Contrary to their previous works, this album is almost entirely Acoustic music, acoustic. The vocals are primarily handled by hurdy-gurdy player Anna Murphy (musician), Anna Murphy. The album cover represents Cernunnos, a Celtic deity of nature. The lyrics are partly based on Gaulish inscriptions, e.g. "A Girl's Oath" uses the text of the Larzac tablet, and "Dessumiis Luge" that of the Chamalières tablet. Since it's not a living language anymore, nobody really knows how it's pronounced like. Larzac Tablet
The Larzac tablet is a lead curse tablet found in 1983 in the commune of L'Hospitalet-du-Larzac, Aveyron, southern France. It is now kept in the museum of Millau. It bears one of the most important inscriptions in the Gaulish language. The inscription is in Roman cursive on a lead tablet preserved in two fragments, dated to about 100 AD. It is the longest preserved Gaulish text, extending to more than 1000 letters or 160 words (an unknown number of lines at the end of the text are lost). The curse tablet was excavated from a grave of La Vayssière necropolis, just north of the village of L'Hospitalet-du-Larzac, close to the ancient Roman road from Condatomagus (Amiliavum, Millau) to Luteva (Lodève), at the time crossing the provincial border between Gallia Aquitania and Gallia Narbonensis. Hammered Dulcimer
The hammered dulcimer (also called the hammer dulcimer) is a percussion-string instrument which consists of String (music), strings typically stretched over a trapezoidal resonant sound board (music), sound board. Mandolin
A mandolin (, ; literally "small mandola") is a Chordophone, stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is generally Plucked string instrument, plucked with a plectrum, pick. Mandola
The mandola (US and Canada) or tenor mandola (Ireland and UK) is a fretted, stringed musical instrument. Flute

Alan Averill
Alan Maurice Averill (a.k.a. A.A. Nemtheanga; born 26 August 1975) is an Irish musician most notable for his vocal duties for the folk/black metal band Primordial. He has also participated in several side projects, including Void of Silence, Blood Revolt, and Twilight of the Gods. Life and career Averill was raised in Sutton on Dublin's Northside and attended Mount Temple Comprehensive School. Averill joined Primordial in August 1991 after seeing an advertisement posted by the band in a local music store. He was the vocalist for the doom metal band Void of Silence and sung on the band's third album, ''Human Antithesis'', before departing in 2009. Averill traveled to Canada early to record vocals for "Indoctrine", the debut album from Blood Revolt with Vermin and J. Read (Axis of Advance, Conqueror).
