''Evo'' is a British automobile magazine dedicated to performance cars, from hot hatches to supercars published by Carwow. History In 1995, then Harpenden-based farmer and property developer Harry Metcalfe had become involved in car tests for magazine publishers, after he purchased the first Maserati Ghibli Cup in 1994, through which he had made contacts into the motoring media. Christopher James Harris (born 20 January 1975) is a British automotive journalist, professional racing driver and television presenter. Harris has worked as a reviewer, writer and editor for multiple automotive magazines, including '' Evo'', '' Autocar'' and ''Jalopnik''. He has presented numerous television and YouTube series through NBCSN and DRIVE. Since 2017, Harris has been one of the three main presenters of '' Top Gear'', after previously making regular appearances throughout the twenty-third series in 2016. Bedford Autodrome is an autodrome based on the former site of RAE Bedford, in the village of Thurleigh, Bedfordshire. It is owned by former Formula One driver Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation. The autodrome It is built on the northern section of the former site of the Royal Aerospace Establishment Bedford, a former Royal Air Force airfield and took five years to convert to a track using the latest in track-laying techniques to provide a quiet and smooth surface. It was designed to be driven by high performance road cars and as such has larger than usual run off areas and does not have sections of Armco safety barriers which would potentially damage a car seriously if it left the track.
