Evina Westbrook
Evina Westbrook (born September 28, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played college basketball at Connecticut Huskies women's basketball, UConn and Tennessee Volunteers women's basketball, Tennessee. She was selected in the 2nd Round of the 2022 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. College career Tennessee Westbrook came out of high school in 2017 as the #2 overall recruit according to ESPN HoopGurlz. That year she received the Morgan Wootten Player of the Year. Westbrook chose to continue her basketball career at Tennessee. During her freshman season, Westbrook averaged 8.4 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.8 rebounds, while also starting every game. The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) is an American professional basketball league. It is composed of twelve teams, all based in the United States. The league was founded on April 22, 1996, as the women's counterpart to the National Basketball Association (NBA), and league play started in 1997. The regular season is played from May to September, with the All Star game being played midway through the season in July (except in Olympic years) and the WNBA Finals at the end of September until the beginning of October. 2022 Washington Mystics Season
The 2022 Washington Mystics season is the franchise's 25th season in the Women's National Basketball Association. The regular season will tip off versus the Indiana Fever on May 6, 2022. The Mystics won the Draft Lottery and received the 1st Overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, despite only having the third best odds to win. This is the first time in franchise history that the Mystics had the #1 Overall pick. The team traded the pick to Atlanta and moved down to the third overall pick in the Draft. The 2022 WNBA season is the current and 24th season for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association. The season began on May 6, 2022, versus the Seattle Storm. 2022 WNBA Season
The 2022 WNBA season was the 26th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Chicago Sky were the defending champions. The WNBA's second Commissioner's Cup took place during the regular season, with the Las Vegas Aces winning over the Sky. The Chicago Sky are an American professional basketball team based in Chicago. The Sky compete in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) as a member club of the league's Eastern Conference. The franchise was founded prior to the 2006 season.
