Everybody (Madonna Song)
"Everybody" is a song written and recorded by American singer Madonna and produced by DJ Mark Kamins. In 1982, while living in New York City with former boyfriend Stephen Bray, Madonna created a demo featuring four dance tracks, including "Everybody". Without a record deal, she promoted the tape herself by visiting nightclubs and persuading DJs to play it. At Danceteria, she met Kamins, who played the track to a positive crowd response and later brought it to Sire Records. Impressed, label president Seymour Stein signed Madonna for two twelve-inch singles. Recorded in three days at Bob Blank's Blank Tape Recording Studios, "Everybody" was released on October 6, 1982 as Madonna's debut single, and later included on her 1983 self-titled album. A post-disco track with electro and R&B influences, its lyrics encourage dancing and self-expression. Gotham Records
Gotham Records was an American record label formed by Sam Goode (Goody) and Ivin Ballen in New York City in 1946. In January 1948 Ballen acquired the interest of Goode and became the sole owner. He then moved the company to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the label was based for the rest of its existence until 1956. The label specialized in rhythm and blues. Dan Gilroy (musician)
Daniel Alan Gilroy (born May 19, 1947) is an American musician best known as the former lead singer of the group Breakfast Club. Following Breakfast Club, he acted in the children's programs ''Mother Goose Rock 'n' Rhyme'' and '' Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle''. Biography Gilroy met Madonna, then an aspiring dancer, at a party in 1979. They became romantically involved and she moved into the synagogue where Gilroy lived with his brother Ed Gilroy in Corona, Queens. It also served as a studio for the brothers, who at times worked as musicians or comics under the name Bil and Gil. While Gilroy and his brother were waiting tables during the day and performing their comedy routines at night, Madonna was at the synagogue practicing drums. Breakfast Club is an American musical group. Their biggest hit single was " Right on Track" (1987), which peaked at No. 7 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. The Celebration Tour was the twelfth concert tour by American singer-songwriter Madonna. It began on October 14, 2023, at the O2 Arena, the O2 Arena in London and ended on May 4, 2024, with a free concert on Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Copacabana Beach at Rio de Janeiro.
