"Every Time You Take Your Time" is a song recorded, co-written, and co-produced by Canadian-American country artist Aaron Goodvin. He wrote the track with Ed Hill and Jimmy Ritchey. Aaron Goodvin is a Canadian-American country music singer and songwriter. Active since 2016, he has charted multiple singles on the ''Billboard'' Canada Country charts, including the number-one hits " You Are" and "Boy Like Me", and the double platinum-certified "Lonely Drum". Biography Goodvin was born in Spirit River, Alberta, Canada. He took interest in music after winning a singing competition at a local shopping mall at age 12. His family moved to St. Albert, Alberta, by the time he was a teenager. At age 25, Goodvin moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue his career in country music. After performing in local venues, he was signed to a songwriting contract with Warner Chappell Music, which led to him writing the track "Out Like That" on Luke Bryan's 2013 album ''Crash My Party''. "Lonely Drum" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian-American country artist Aaron Goodvin. It was the second single from Goodvin's debut self-titled studio album. Goodvin and his co-writers won "Songwriter of the Year" at the 2018 CCMA Awards for the song. Background Goodvin and co-writer Catt Gravitt were writing a song called "Trying to Forget You", and after finishing it, Gravitt said "I just love that song because it beats on that lonely drum". Goodvin remarked that he immediately wanted to write a song with that title, "Lonely Drum", and it took them around 45 minutes to complete it. He said that after three years of pitching the song, he recorded it himself, and was very happy with the reaction from fans and radio stations.
