Evergreen$
''Evergreen$'' () is a Canadian Christmas comedy film, directed by Stéphane Moukarzel and released in 2023. The film stars Étienne Galloy as Rémi, an immature young man whose reputation in his community is destroyed when he gets into a car accident while jokingly dressed as a terrorist; with few options to support himself, he goes to New York City, where he takes a job selling Christmas trees, befriends French activist Laura ( Diane Rouxel), and learns the importance of community when he becomes drawn into Laura's campaign to protect the multicultural neighbourhood from gentrification. The cast also includes Tyrone Benskin, Thy Sros, Don Jordan, Stuart Fink, Conrad Pla, Danny Blanco Hall, Mimo Magri, Rémi Goulet, Pilar Cazares, Azusa Oga, Keali Barker, Kenny Baye, Henry Beasley, Genti Bejko, Bobby Beshro and Ryan Bommarito in supporting roles. Stéphane Moukarzel is a Lebanese-Canadian film director and screenwriter from Quebec, whose debut feature film ''Evergreen$ (Sapin$)'' was released in 2023. Ziad Touma
Ziad Touma is a Lebanese Canadian film director, producer and screenwriter born in Beirut, Lebanon and residing in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the founder of the film, television and digital media production company Couzin Films . Earlier Years Ziad Touma graduated from Concordia University's communications program in 1994. Conrad Pla
Conrad Pla (born October 24, 1966) is a Spanish-Canadian actor and former professional kickboxer. He is best known for founding Tristar Gym and starring in the Canadian television series ''ReGenesis''. Early life Pla was born in Madrid and moved to Canada with his parents at the age of three. Career Pla was a professional kickboxer between the ages of 18 and 32. He competed in the light heavyweight and super middleweight division. With 26 pro fights, he was ranked 3rd in the world, was the International Sport Karate Association, ISKA North American Champion as well as the World Kickboxing Association, WKA Intercontinental Champion. Tyrone Benskin
Tyrone Benskin (born 29 December 1958) is an English-Canadian actor, theatre director and politician. He was elected Member of Parliament in the Jeanne-Le Ber riding, in Montreal, Quebec, in the 2011 Canadian federal election and served as an MP until 2015. Diane Rouxel (born August 14, 1993 in Ambilly) is a French actress. She was nominated for the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 2016 for her role in the film '' Standing Tall''.
