Evelyn Großmann
Evelyn Großmann (born 16 July 1971) is a German former figure skater. She is the 1990 European Figure Skating Championships, 1990 European champion and 1991 European Figure Skating Championships, 1991 European silver medallist. Career Born in Dresden, Saxony, East Germany, Großmann represented first East Germany (GDR) and later Germany after German reunification in 1990. She trained in Chemnitz, Saxony. Her coach was Jutta Müller. Großmann became European champion in 1990 and won a silver medal at the 1991 Europeans. In 1993, she changed her club and coach, choosing to skate for ERC Dresden but training in Oberstdorf. However, she never again qualified for international championships mainly due to many injuries. Großmann worked as a coach in Oberstdorf in Bavaria. She is also an international figure skating judge for the ISU judging system, for which she has a license as a technical specialist. Bofrost Cup On Ice
The Bofrost Cup on Ice was an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), organized and hosted by the German Ice Skating Union (). The first iteration was held in 1986 in Frankfurt. When the ISU launched the Champions Series (later renamed the Grand Prix Series) in 1995, the German competition – then called the Nations Cup – was one of the five qualifying events. It remained a Grand Prix event until 2002, after which point it was supplanted by the Cup of China. This event was held under several names, including the Fujifilm Trophy and the Sparkassen Cup on Ice. The last installment of this competition took place in 2004. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earned points based on their results at the qualifying competitions each season, and the top skaters or teams in each discipline were invited to then compete at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. East German Figure Skating Championships
The East German Figure Skating Championships were a figure skating competition held annually to determine the national champions of the German Democratic Republic, often referred to as ''East Germany''. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Organized by the DELV (the national figure skating association of the GDR), the event was held annually from 1949 to 1990. During the same period, the German Figure Skating Championships were held in the Federal Republic of Germany, commonly known as ''West Germany''. Following the reunification of Germany, East German skaters competed at the German Championships, and the East German championships were discontinued.
