Evans Mirageas
Evans Mirageas (born 1954) is an American classical music consultant and producer, and currently the Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director at Cincinnati Opera and the former Vice President for Artistic Planning at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Mirageas was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1976. He began his career hosting evening classical music hours and opera night programs in about 1973 at WUOM/WVGR, the University of Michigan radio stations in Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids Michigan. Since then, he's worked for the WFMT radio station in Chicago, as the Artistic Administrator to Seiji Ozawa at the Boston Symphony, and as the Senior Vice President of Artists and Repertoire for the Decca Record Company in London. Ann Arbor, Michigan
Ann Arbor is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Washtenaw County. The 2020 census recorded its population to be 123,851. Sir Bryn Terfel Jones, (; born 9 November 1965) (known professionally as Bryn Terfel) is a Welsh bass-baritone opera and concert singer. Terfel was initially associated with the roles of Mozart, particularly ''Figaro'', '' Leporello'' and '' Don Giovanni'', but has subsequently shifted his attention to heavier roles, especially those by Puccini and Wagner. Barbara Bonney
Barbara Bonney (born April 14, 1956) is an American soprano. She is associated with lyric soprano roles in operas by Mozart and Richard Strauss as well as lieder performances. Early life Bonney was born in Montclair, New Jersey. As a child she practised piano and cello. When Bonney was 13 her family moved to Maine, where she became part of the Portland Symphony Youth Orchestra as a cellist. She spent two years at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) studying German and music including voice with Patricia Stedry, and spent her junior year at the University of Salzburg, where she switched from cello to voice. While there, she studied at Mozarteum University Salzburg. Years later she received an honorary doctorate from UNH. Karita Marjatta Mattila (born 5 September 1960) is a Finnish operatic soprano. René Pape
René Pape (born 4 September 1964) is a German operatic bass. Pape has received two Grammys, was named "Vocalist of the Year" by Musical America in 2002, "Artist of the Year" by the German opera critics in 2006, and won an ECHO award (the German equivalent of the Grammy) in 2009. Thomas Bernard Heppner (born January 14, 1956) is a Canadian tenor and broadcaster, now retired from singing, who specialized in opera and other classical works for voice. Early life and career Heppner, of Mennonite descent, was born in Murrayville, British Columbia, and lived in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. He began his musical studies at the University of British Columbia and first attracted national attention when he won the CBC Talent Festival in 1979.
