''Evanescence'' is the third studio album by American rock music, rock band Evanescence, released on October 7, 2011, by Wind-up Records. The band began writing the album in June 2009. Its release was delayed several times; on February 22, 2010, the band entered the studio with producer Steve Lillywhite but later stopped working with him because he "wasn't the right fit". At the time the album was scheduled for an August or September 2010 release, but Lee later announced that Evanescence had postponed recording to write more material. In April 2011, the band returned to the studio with producer Nick Raskulinecz. ''Evanescence'' is the first Evanescence album to be written as a band, with Lee, guitarist Terry Balsamo, guitarist Troy McLawhorn, bassist Tim McCord and drummer Will Hunt co-writing the music together. Evanescence is an American Rock music, rock band founded in 1994 by singer and keyboardist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody in Little Rock, Arkansas. After releasing independent extended play, EPs and a Origin (Evanescence demo album), demo CD as a duo in the late 1990s, Evanescence released their debut studio album, ''Fallen (Evanescence album), Fallen'', on Wind-up Records in 2003. Troy McLawhorn
William Troy McLawhorn (born November 4, 1968) is an American musician who has been a guitarist in the rock band Evanescence since 2007. He has also worked with the bands Seether, Dark New Day, doubleDrive, Still Rain, and Gibraltar. Early career McLawhorn was formerly of the bands Seether, doubleDrive and Still Rain. After the demise of his first band, Still Rain, McLawhorn helped form doubleDrive in 1996 and landed a recording contract with MCA records in 1998. They scored a top 20 hit with the song "Tattooed Bruise" from their debut album ''1000 Yard Stare''. The band left MCA and signed a new deal with Roadrunner Records in 2001 and released their second album, '' Blue in the Face'', with the song "Imprint" reaching into the top 20 also. The Pretty Reckless is an American rock band from New York City, formed in 2009. The band consists of Taylor Momsen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ben Phillips (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mark Damon (bass), and Jamie Perkins (drums). The Evanescence Tour was the third worldwide concert tour by American rock music, rock band Evanescence. Staged in support of their 2011 Evanescence (Evanescence album), eponymous third studio album, the tour began in August 2011 and ended in November 2012, with the band playing shows in North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Oceania, and Africa.
