Evald Tipner
Evald Tipner (13 March 1906 – 18 July 1947) was an Estonian footballer widely regarded as one of the greatest Estonian goalkeepers of all time. He was capped 66 times for Estonia national football team, 7 times for bandy national team and once for ice hockey team. Tipner was also a good track and field athlete. Tipner was one of the most prominent Estonian sportspeople during the interwar period and was known for his reflex saves and imposing presence in goal. Throughout his career, he earned the nicknames ''Eesti kuldväravavaht'' () and ''kummikätega mees'' (), of which the latter was given by the Swedes who were strongly impressed by his performance in Sweden in 1927. Tipner was often hailed by the foreign newspapers after his performances on international level and he has also been regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the Northern European region of his era. SK Tallinna Sport
SK Tallinna Sport, or simply Sport, is a defunct Estonian football club based in Tallinn. Founded in 1912, Sport won nine domestic league titles and was the most successful Estonian football club before Soviet occupation. Sport was the founding member and the first champion of both the Estonian Football Championship and the Estonian Cup. Before World War II, the club was also active in athletics, weightlifting, wrestling, boxing, speed skating, basketball, volleyball and bandy. Sport was the first-ever Estonian champion in basketball and volleyball, and an 11-time Estonian champion in bandy. From 1920 to 1936, members of VS Sport won a total of 11 medals at the Olympic Games, including gold medals by Kristjan Palusalu and Voldemar Väli. The 1929 Baltic Cup was held in Riga, Latvia at LSB Stadions on 14–16 August 1929. It was the second time three Baltic countries — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — came together to play a friendly tournament and determine the best team amongst them. The Baltic Cup (, , ) is an international football competition contested by the national teams of the Baltic states – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. August Lass
August Lass (16 August 1903 – 27 November 1962) was an Estonian footballer. Career Lass earned 21 caps for the Estonian national team between 1921 and 1928. He played for JK Tallinna Kalev and Tallinna Jalgpalliklubi and participated at the 1924 Summer Olympics. He became Estonian champion in 1923 with JK Tallinna Kalev, in 1926 and 1928 with Tallinna JK. He was arrested by the Soviet authorities in April 1941 and was deported to Siberia, he returned home in 1947, but in 1949-1955 he was deported again for unknown reasons. Tipner is a residential district of Portsmouth, located on the north western corner of Portsea Island in southern England.
