Eva Meijer
Eva Meijer (born 1980) is a Dutch philosopher, writer, visual artist and singer-songwriter. Work Eva Meijer is a philosopher, visual artist, writer and singer-songwriter. They write novels, philosophical essays, academic texts, poems and columns. Meijer published twenty books and their work has been translated into over twenty languages. Meijer works as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam and writes essays and columns for Dutch newspapers. They are a member of the Multispecies Collective, a multispecies art collective, and De Vereniging ter Bevordering van Troost (The Association for the Promotion of Consolation), an art collective focused on healing and developing new practices of care. Meijer is co-chair of the Dutch Study Group for Animal Philosophy. Len Howard
Gwendolen Howard (1894 – 5 January 1973) was a British naturalist and musician. She is known for the unique amateur bird studies that were published in various periodicals and two books under her pseudonym, Len Howard. Early life Gwendolen Howard was the last of four children born to Henry Newman Howard (1861–1929), the British poet and dramatist, and Florence Howard, née Warman. Born in the town of Wallington, Howard lived with her family in various homes throughout England and Wales before beginning a music career in London, where she gave music lessons, organized concerts for children of the poor, and played viola in an orchestra under Malcolm Sargent. In 1938, Howard purchased a plot of land outside the village of Ditchling and arranged for construction of the home she later called "Bird Cottage." ''Environmental Values'' started as a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal closely associated with the ecological economics movement, but also firmly based in applied ethics. Subjects covered are philosophy, economics, politics, sociology, geography, anthropology, ecology, and other disciplines, which relate to the present and future environment of human beings and other species. The journal was established in 1992 and edited by Alan Holland until 2007 when Clive L. Spash became editor-in-chief. Spash left the post in 2021, having served the journal in various roles (referee, review editor, associate editor, editor-in-chief) over three decades. The current editor is Tom Greaves. In 2013, the journal expanded to six issues a year. This was a result of increasing popularity and standing in the field.
